Toney is an ATG but it’s difficult to gauge who he’d beat and wouldn’t.
I forgot who si was arguing with but they made me rewatch the Tiberi and Griffin fights.
Toney by no stretch of the imagination is an unbeatable fighter, but at his best he was a site to see.
European robotic fighters like USYK would be good for Toney on his best day, but USYK isn’t a push over either it’s a tough fight because USYK boxes better than Jirov.Comment

Shot Holyfield ans shot McCallum are not top tier.
Ruiz isn't top tier but he doesn't have a win over Ruiz anyway.
He didn't dominate Prince Charles.
A past it Iran Barkley is the only argument and let's face it he isn't even close to Usyk's level.
Toney never dominated an elite fighter, ever. Certainly isn't starting with Usyk.Comment

Finessed him?
How's the weather in this dream world you live in?
Toney never dominated McCallum until he was shot. If anything McCallum deserved the W in the rematch.Last edited by IronDanHamza; 04-07-2020, 01:06 PM.Comment

he had better footwork at the lighter weights, whether cutting off the ring or angling on come forward types the bigger he got hed just stay in the pocket and counter.....he actually had fights where he fought off the back foot in the 90sComment

agreed toney couldve lost fight 2..mccallum had a great game plan wouldve beat a lesser man that dayComment

The only time I saw Toney fight off the back foot was when he argubaly lost to Sosa and be looked terrible.
Toney can't cut off a ring to save his life, he showed that over and over and over.
He positioned his feet well on the inside, but his feet are very slow and he's flat footed.Last edited by IronDanHamza; 04-07-2020, 03:32 PM.Comment
