You said you'd rank Toney over Usyk didn't you? Or did you not?Cruiserweight has historically been one of if not the weakest division in all of boxing. Typically it's been full of guys too lazy to make LHW or guys too small to compete with the top 15 @ HW. That's always been true for CW as it is today. It's a division for utter trash.
So who made that argument?Comment

peekaboo was patterson you are thinking of, he got torn apart by ali. frazier was really an aggressive philly shell.Well he wasn't as reliant on one punch as Frazier was but he had a similar peakaboo style that caused Ali immense trouble to figure out. The fact it was a more refined, speedier and deadlier version of the style makes it so that the fight is closer than some would think. Ali is obviously still the favourite but it's not like it's a given he'd win it.Comment

Right, except Tyson didn't like to fight up closeI've watched so much of both and yes, there are physical differences in how they fight because they were different physically. But the footwork, punch selection, head and upper body movement is all the same or similar. He may have not kept his head directly in the opponents chest like Frazier did as often but he liked to fight up close too, he was a mid range to close range fighter. The cardio is also a massive difference, surprised I didn't mention it actually but that's true at least. Tyson was way too reliant on getting his opponents out of there early.
At all.
He held up close so he could return to mid range and fire off explosive combos.
Nothing alike to Joe Frazier.
They really are nothing alike, other than being aggressive and short. But style wise they aren't alike. Pretty sure any historian on the planet would agree with that.
Like I said, I'd suggest more research.Comment
