Povetkin has been a top 5-8 HW for a long time. That isn't even in dispute.

He's right below the consensus top-4 of Fury, Wilder, Ruiz and Joshua on par with Ortiz, Pulev, and Whyte.

He is absolutely an elite HW.

Sure he can as long as he’s fighting the Charrs or Bryants of the heavyweight division

What TS and others don't seem to know/understand is Usyk has different fight styles depending on who his opponent are. Murat Gassiev was someone he respected so he was much more switched on and careful. He put on a boxing clinic in that fight.
Also Gassiev probably punch harder then most heavyweights.

I swear I like the guy, let me know what I am missing here
Comparatively he’s a lot faster than many HW’s.

          KO power I agree with.

I would assert he has a good defence, he’s not exceptionally elusive but he’s not easy to hit by any means.

I’d recommend watching his amateur fight with Joe Joyce, I was actually at that fight and he beats Joe clearly, that would give you a better indication as to what style he may implement at HW, that fight is over 5 rounds with no head guards in the WSB so it’s far more comparable to a pro contest.

FTR, I’m not 100% convinced Usyk will be able to emulate a guy like Holyfield and have great success at HW but I wouldn’t write him off either, we need to see him tested at HW first, to see how he adapts and adjusts against naturally bigger men.

at that point, AJ was hastily lining up opponents... and we all know why

it was absurd for Hearn to speak about Usyk more enthusiastically that he spoke about Wilder

I give him little/no chance of beating AJ/Wilder... and NO chance of beating Fury

not sure if he could beat Whyte/Parker, or even Povetkin

and I am a huge Usyk fan who thinks that he should have stayed at cruiser and ruled like a king

            the Bellew fight was telling
This is another lie , Usyk wasn’t ready for AJ and wanted a few more fights to get settled into heavyweight .

Furthermore Hearn doesn’t have to promise Usyk any fight he’s the mandatory challenger it’s why he came to the heavyweight division ,I guess you never stopped lying this entire time I was away a bit ? Ha

Wilder tried to to tell lies about AJ ,he’s unprofessional, a con artist and isn’t an elite athlete like Usyk is who would box his ears off , there would be no reason for Hearn to treat Wilder the same way .

I agree. I've liked what I've seen live from Usyk. I'm also not sure if he's big enough to beat all these super heavyweights we have now. Depends on how he trains, gains weight/muscle, etc. Where I've seen him, he moved and reacted very well.

I wasn't giving him a coronation at HW, he will be challenged. But I think he has a chance to surprise. I guess we'll see eventually ...

That's a classic cart before horse type misunderstanding.

The only reason Hearn and Usyk are working together is that Usyk earned the mandatory right to fight for AJ's WBO title when he became the WBO Super champion at CW.

Usyk was going to move up to HW and fight AJ whether Hearn wanted him to or not.

THese guys are too casual, they dont know what theyre actually watching.

                      Moves does not equal footwork
hands up does not equal defense
Hasnt been koed yet does not equal durable
lots of pointless twitchy stuff does not equal good reflexes
jabs and has boxer style does not equal mobile and high ring iq

Most of his fans are his fans because of a reason that sadly has nothing to do with boxing.
What about his European Championship, World Championship, and Olympic gold medals in the amateurs?

What about his WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF, Ring and lineal cruiserweight titles?

Did they also have nothing to do with boxing?
