the only reason why Usyk moved to heavyweight is because he was promised a Joshua fight by Eddie Hearn

at that point, AJ was hastily lining up opponents... and we all know why

it was absurd for Hearn to speak about Usyk more enthusiastically that he spoke about Wilder

I give him little/no chance of beating AJ/Wilder... and NO chance of beating Fury

not sure if he could beat Whyte/Parker, or even Povetkin

and I am a huge Usyk fan who thinks that he should have stayed at cruiser and ruled like a king

    the Bellew fight was telling

Either way, yeah, dudes refreshingly light hearted and seems absolutely up for a challenge which I guess is all you can ask of a fighter. I wish him well and I reckon he can probably at least beat some of the top 10 guys even if the big 3 just have too much size and power.

go and watch that fight again, this time with your eyes open

btw, Bellew is not a heavyweight

Could be famous last words Larry... I think Usyk will be a problem at HW, I think his activity will be a big problem for a lot of the bigger guys. The lack of size is an obvious worry but he definitely has the talent.

I’ve been on a few forums in the past and this one has to be the most out of touch with reality I’ve seen, particularly the TS ,I’m convinced he’s just not altogether when he Posts .

Usyk flat footed and no defense ? Wow . These guys will go into another Wilder meltdown if they ever fought each other. How to you bash Usyk when Wilder gets out boxed by Szpilka who is haof as skilled .

It wasn't his greatest performance, and (as I already said above) I'm sceptical of his ability to succeed at the top level at heavyweight, but that ain't the point. Larry was specifically refering to him being too static and retreating in straight lines.. which ain't what i saw at all. Only stright lines were when he was cutting the ring really, and in terms of lateral movement he was almost getting behind Tony at times - moments of Loma lite. In fact if anything I'd argue that he was moving too much - ain't always great for energy management, but if he can keep it up through 12, I guess why not.

Funny kinda fight though - I know you'll probably say it makes me a loser but Bellew really made a fan of me over the years (and earned me a few nice windfalls ;D) - but Caldwall and Tony came in with a set of tactics that really made him look good for as long as he was able to keep it up. I wouldn't say Sasha was exposed, cos he did make the adjustment and had Tony completely figured out by mid-rounds, but it did demonstrate he certainly ain't unbeatable (which we knew already after Breidis fought him hella close).

Still, ha ha, if you claim to like a guy for the challenges he takes you can't really fault Usyk for the career path he's chosen, can you? Dude literally won every one of his titles in his opponent's' back yards and fought - near as dammit - every single meaningful opponent in his weifghtclass.

He doesn’t have enough steam on his punches to really get through the big guys. He’d have to really perform perfectly in order to win. He has the style, but I agree, it isn’t in the cards

Usyk will be champ now. Usually the opposite happens when op predicts anything.

I stopped reading and taking this seriously right there.

This is probably the most stacked CW division there has ever been.

                      Very naïve statement
