i've thought that breland is suffering from cognitive issues when i first heard him speak at least a decade ago. There's a reason that deas is the face of that training team. And what does deas really know? He's just a small timer that struck gold with wilder. What has deas done? Did he teach deontay how to punch hard?

i thought i was the only one who picked up on breeland sounding a bit punchy... Wilder is just loyal to jay because he taught wilder how to box... But im sure they can find someone better than breeland and keep jay as the water boy if wilder must be loyal... Everyone needs a leader in that corner who knows what he is doing.. Robert garcia does more work during 1 break than breeland does all night....

But he is right. Wilder doesn't have fundamentals and can't resort to anything else but his power. He should had gotten ride of Breland or added a trainer a long time ago. Now it is too late.

Wilder can fight, Wilder can't BOX. There's a difference.

Wilder's success was the same as Golovkin. Guys went in the ring afraid of the knockout power and fought tentative, which got them dropped, knocked out or stopped. But the ones that stand their ground against the bully were successful.

We saw that with Floyd against Chino, Carnelo against Golovkin, and Crawford against Horn. The formula works, always has.

Don't worry about the "Bronze Bomber". He'll get the job done if he wants it badly enough. However, it all begins and ends with him. Aside from getting a new trainer; It's really up to him. How much is he willing to improve and sacrifice in order to get better; Only him and himself alone can answer that question.

Nah! Teddy Atlas is a lousy trainer and choice for a replacement. He talks about fundamentals but how many world champions have he actually developed in his 44 year career? However, he'll make a terrific second and corner man though; Somebody who can light a spark inside of Deontay Wilder because Mark Breland and Jay Deas can't do it.

The thing is that Wilder was arrogant about not having boxing skills. He even said once that you don't need skill if you have power like him.

He and Mark Breland taught Wilder how to use his natural gifts to knock out fighters in an unorthodox and unpredictable way, resulting in an unprecedented achievement of 41 knock outs in 44 fights with only one loss. This sole loss soon to be avenged in brutal fashion this year.
