One win over Mayweather does not make you an ATG but I can see him making the HOF.

Who from his era had a better resume at Lightweight?

He was a very good fighter in his prime, but not even HOF worthy to be real. But we’re talking about the IBHOF, you never really know what criteria they use, it’s not set in stone what can or can’t get you in the HOF.

What is set in stone is the ATG list because this is mostly a fantasy list where only true great fighters can be considered ATG’s.

And giving an ATG a tough fight, does not make you an ATG. For example, Rustico Torrecampo or Sansurat aren’t considered ATG’s for knocking out an ATG. Margarito is not considered greater than Cotto despite beating Cotto.

Jeff Horn won a debatable decision over Pacquiao, which he may or may not have actually earned, but it doesn’t make him great despite the fact that it was indeed a very tough, grueling 12 rounds for both fighters.

Maidana giving destroying Ortiz, humiliating Broner and giving Mayweather 24 tough rounds won’t get him into the HOF, let alone considered an ATG. Despite the fact that he was a VERY tough fighter, he blew his HOF chances when he lost to Kotelnyk (debatable, Maidana may have won), Khan (Khan barely won), and Alexander (Devon won pretty clearly).

JLC was a great lightweight but not an ATG ( lightweight)imho . That's just my call he has some great wins in stevie Johnston and Diego corrales and a few other top notch wins . But imo he is not an ATG . Not even close . He was in one of the best fights of all time in corrales 1 but he lost , he beat floyd imo but didnt get the nod , and lost the rematch . I just cant give him ATG status especially in such a deep historical division . Hes a HOF'er no doubt, and a great fighter but that's as far as I can go . Respect to anyone who thinks differnt , but I humbly disagree .

He had a pretty good resume. He fought good opposition...won some, lost some but atg, imo he is not.
