Gomez and Jones

28 year old unbeaten streak gomez and 42 year old no wins not title jones.

you need to explain how they were similar in age and accumulated, with gomez winning a title an jones winning nothing.

i dont see the years thing yet (28 v 42, completely diffeent), the accumulated damage thing yet (41 fights vs 71, nearly double), the same level at the time yet (world vs nothing level).

You must do this soon, my friend or people will think you are bull****in on all three counts (which it appears fully u are doing here but i trust you to sort it out soon, i believe in you)

And in Gomez's next fight...he went 15 and got a gift vs Lockridge at home...and then got Koed in his next and last real fight vs Alfredo Layne...it was a good win for Nelson but not quite as great as it looks if we want to keep it real...which no one really does.

It doesn't matter what happened in his next fight. He is being judged by when Nelson fought him. Either way comparing him to the Jones that fought Lebdev is inaccurate and ******.

It's also a better win than anything on Golovkin's resume and nothing on there comes close to it. That's "keeping it real"

I agree with ya man...well said...people should be appreciating him a bit more for what he has done, but maybe that will happen in time...in any event good post...and on the weight thing, he turned pro basically when he was full grown so he just hasn't really had much of a reason to move up, 160 is a premier division and no big fights materialized above that weight...would like to see how he fares about that weight though, maybe we will still get a glimpse of that.

Yeah the Ward offer imo was pretty clearly just an attempt for Ward to gain some publicity at that time...and it worked.

And yeah I agree on the weight stuff...guys say stuff like that all the time lol...'yeah I'll fight anyone etc'...you still have to iron out the terms - money, venue, time, weight etc...that's where it gets hard to make the fights.
