THROWBACK: Scoring Castillo/Mayweather 1

I thought it was close but FMJ banked alot of early rounds and Castillo was aggressive but missed alot of shots. I also thought Floyd was extremely lucky tbh.

Here's the other thing I find funny.

People say "it should be 9-9 because Castillo was winning the round" yet they say Mayweather's point deduction should be 10 point must for Jose despite the fact that Mayweather won that round otherwise.

I swear people. Just for once, be CONSISTENT.

Negative - otherwise, Wilder/Fury 1 wasn't a draw and countless other fights weren't scored properly.

It's a 10 POINT MUST SYSTEM. If Floyd had gotten dropped or a point deducted, only then can you go 9-9.

You can't be serious...why people want to double down when they are clearly wrong, I have no idea...I guess the anonymity of the internet can do that.

My comment is based on how I would have scored it if that pesky thing known as a rule book were not in my way.

For example, if there were no pesky rule book, I would have said that Crawford got DROPPED officially by Kavaliauskas, and Khan should have a DQ win over Crawford.

However, I respect the rule book.

Are you really that simple man...I posted the rematch scorecard because it is the most recent example in my mind of a fight where a guy had a point deducted, but still clearly won the round.

Thus, as you can see, the judges scored the round 10-8 to Fury...and then in the POINTS DEDUCTED column right beside that, they put '1' for Fury.

I can't help you here man...a decent man in your position, when they have clearly been proven wrong, would humble himself a bit and admit they were incorrect...it happens to all of us man.

You always seemed like a decent dude on here, I think you more or less keep it real, though you do have some weird biases.

Most media members has this fight for Floyd. Almost all boxing outlets had Floyd winning.

Articles were printed after the fight BASHING HBO commentary on the fight. The second fight, Sky Sports had it 10-2 or 9-3 Floyd but judges tried to rob Floyd to set up a trilogy. It was all because Arum who was Floyd’s promoter at the time was in dispute with him over money leading into the first fight.
