If he only had his size, he'd be more like a Valuev type. That's quite a difference.

Proceeding with your logic, what would Wilder be if he didn't have power in his right hand? What would he be if he only had that right hand? Probably something more like DaVarryl Williamson. Again quite a difference.

I'm not a Fury fan nor a Wilder fan. Both had god-given gifts that they took advantage of to help become champions.
My point is, that though Fury has skill, its not as if it is his primary attribute. His size is.

I think the problem here is that so many people are just taking hardline divisive sides on fandom that any comment which isnt 100% effusive is deemed as hating.

I agree with your Wilder opinion as well, and with your final summation as well. You point out if he only had size he'd be Valuev- true. I am not writing he ONLY has size. He does have abilities and gifts, I am not trying to write he doent. Simply observing that Fury's greatest gift is his size.

It ain't over till it's over. Right before the stoppage; Wilder landed a short left hook that appeared to momentarily buckle Tyson Fury.

I admit that it would have been difficult though; Given all of the dirty and illegal tactics that Fury were employing. The headbutting, leaning behind the neck, rabbit punching, tripping and the headlocking while he got free shots to punch Wilder in the body had weakened Deontay Wilder; Especially in his legs.

That was foul man! It was very simple and plain. I, personally believe he should have been disqualified for using all of those roughhousing antics.
I was starting to feel like I was the only one who noticed that left before the stoppage.

Fury did come out with some dirty boxing tactics. Some guys on here were commenting about Wilder using illegal tactics knowing damn well if anything it was in retaliation to Fury doing it first and more often, which is why he got a point taken, the timing of it was just weird. It’s obvious some people can’t comment on here without being bias as hell though.

I still give credit to Fury though, I enjoyed the fight.

          I disagree with this.

His greatest gift is his ring IQ. He could be any size, he would still be a slick boxer who can switch stances and beat you at any range. He uses his size well, but at Lower weight classes he would be even faster, and have even better conditioning. He would literally be a Sweet Pea, Locche, Mayweather type fighter who can dominate you with economical boxing and frustrate you constantly.

He may have that IQ, but his winning is predicated on being bigger (which is fine its his atribute and he'd be a fool not to use it).

Maybe I am missing it, but his winning seems to be that bigger fighters (who are used to being able to attack from range) can't get to him, because he is rangier. So his reach lets him attack them when they can not attack him, and once they do get within range he just holds them.

For certain he has good movement, especially for his size, and I am not knocking him because he is the best heavyweight around right now. I just differ in my opinion of why he is the best.

I mean the same can be said of Ali.

Compare him to Lomachenko, Jofre, Duran or Pep and he looks like DOG SHYTE. At least Fury actually has skills.

Because it was stopped by his corner moments before Deontay was going to make his next trip to the canvas.

I admit I was wrong. I picked Wilder to win. But this version of Fury seems to be the complete package. Here’s hoping Fury keeps focused and on the straight and narrow this time around.

He must of made those trips to the canvas when I wasn't watching because I didn't see them. I meant he was rabbit punched to the back of the head that sent him to the canvas and was tripped to the canvas also which shouldn't have counted either because both those knockdowns were illegal. They were outside of the rules of boxing. I must admit that your guy fought a very dirty fight.
