Don't agree with the first part of the title, but definitely the second part. Surprised he took the beating fairly well and was on his legs even complaining why his corner stopped the fight.

"So, I didn’t get to use what we had worked so hard on and I looked so great doing in camp. I didn’t get to use those things because of my mistake that I made at the last minute. But I take full ownership of it, we learn from our mistakes and we carry on.”

That looks worrisome. Wilder needs to have diversity to adjust mid-fight, even mid-round. It doesn't matter how good he looked doing it because he had Malik Scott not Fury in camp. If he needs to take ownership, then take ownership of his crap corner and take ownership of your limited skillset. He needs better trainers and more open-minded to accept deficiencies and improve.

Lol .. you're as bad as he is!

First ... that ****** play-suit he was wearing doesn't weigh anywhere near 40lbs.

Second ... even if it did, a 230lb professional athlete could walk maybe 70 yards wearing a 40lb body suit without any ill effects whatsoever.

This is desperate stuff from a guy who believed his own hype, and the bullshit that people around him have been whispering in his ear for years, and still can't face reality.

Lmao, look at all those clowns that walk in with PBC fighters. Nothing but BETA, fanboy, yes men. Deontay getting his sh.t pushed in really touched a false ego they built around him. Even Deontay cant get over the fact they stopped the fight like he was invincible. I am convinced that had anyone (ref or corner) let the fight go a round or 2 more, Deontay wouldve been a vegetable or dead. I would commend his corner but I think it shouldve been stopped the second his team realized his legs werent coming back. Also everytime Deontay says, "Im a warrior" "I wanted to go out on my shield", BASICALLY implies I was getting my ass kicked, so I was trying to survive to hold face.

The more you think about it, the more laughable and insane the excuse is.
Royal marine commandos have to cover 30 miles of rough terrain, carrying a rifle and a 50lb back pack, then complete an obstacle course at the end of it to earn their green beret.

By the 3rd round his legs were in fact gone. It’s hard to argue differently. My thinking is this had more to do with being mauled by a 270 pound man than by a buffoonish looking costume but either way, his legs were gone.

He's so lame. He came in, fought a dirty fight, threw a bunch of rabbit punches, a couple headbutts trying to open that cut and tried to tackle Fury as well. He got punched near the ear because of HIM and the way he can't defend properly. This is a guy who loves landing rabbit punches and had made a career of it.

                    Onto his dumb ramblings:

You know, many people probably would’ve made excuses
And he's not making excuses? He made the most excuses I can remember after a bogus gift draw and now he's made the most excuses ever after one fight and obviously the all-time GOAT excuse with the costume line.

But I’m a warrior, man. I’m a king and I fight off of my shield. it was all about survival.
Some warrior. Admitting you wanted to run from a man you called a coward, a feather fisted fighter and admitted to cherry picking him.

But we thought we was gonna be able to time it all from the dressing room to the ring walk. But we was in the dressing room a little bit longer than we timed it.
A lie. They put the ridiculous costume on the way to the ring.

And then, that’s when he started hitting me in the back of the head, knocking my equilibrium off a little bit. My legs were so gone that even if he would’ve tapped me, I probably would’ve fell.
You said he didn't hurt you. Also, it was WILDER who started throwing rabbit punches in the first round as he always does. If not for a blatant rabbit punch in fight I that bogus "draw" would have been another loss.

“I had no legs,” Wilder said. “I’m surprised I went that long. I had no legs, and I knew I was in for a fight with these legs and the condition I was in.
Yet he's been crying about the fight being stopped early and that he was going to win and wasn't hurt. Which is it?

I wore the costume that was that heavy, and I paid the price. I traded the tribute to men and women [for] my title, and you know, as a warrior, I was gonna fight.
This is disgusting. He is saying the costume won the fight. Gave no credit to his opponent who nearly killed him and gave him a thumping and then he's guilting people that he wanted to "tribute".

**** him. If he can't handle 40 lbs (lol & 40 lbs it was about 5 lbs max) for 90 seconds what makes him think he can take 270 lbs of a fully trained Fury because don't forget Fury had a small camp that got interrupted by the cut re-opening and an ankle injury.

If i was Fury, i’d come into the next press conference for the trilogy with a 50lbs costume on and start shadow boxing on stage.

It’d just make Wilder look like even more of a joke and humiliate him.
