I agree with what Mark did by throwing in the towel. Deontay didn’t look stable or good. The chances of him getting far more hurt definitely out weigh the chance of him landing his money shot.
Does anyone know the extent of Deontay’s injuries? Looks like he could’ve had a broken jaw as well as a ruptured ear drum. He’ll be back.

It was absolutely necessary to throw in that towel. Deas comments are horrible. He is just a "yes" guy for Wilder. Terrible, the towel should've been thrown the round before. Wilder got beat every single round.

They need a fall guy so Breland will probably get fired.

Breland showed the quality of a world class trainer, Deas is out of order to question that decision because every good coach knows that once the legs are gone the fight is over, power punching begins in the legs.

The only hope Wilder had was some kind of amazing punch, but he doesn’t KO like that, he was never going to have time to set up the shot the way he does. This just sounds to me like a guy who wants to protect his own job, and blame another coach, it’s weak and if he feeds Wilder the excuses and he eats them, he’ll come back even weaker and know deep down he was demolished.

Good decision by Breland, he's more experienced and probably seen more fighters ruined, better to lose one fight than your whole career, health

Wilder was done after the 5th. He can sustained serious & permanent damage if the fight was not stopped. His eyes we almost non reactive from all the punishments. He might not be the same again

Deas offered very little guidance during the fight other than "back him up and throw the right" even when it was apparent that he couldn't back Fury up.

Breland, a former fighter, did the compassionate and appropriate thing by stopping it. From the 5th round on it was very apparent that Wilder wasn't fit enough to plant his feet and throw the right with any power; there would be no come from behind victory...just an inevitable beating worse than he'd already suffered up until that point.

Fury was a bulldozer. Wilder was getting slapped around like an empty shell-suit, despite Kenny Bayless' efforts to protect him. Mark was right to throw the towel in, Wilder was in no fit state to continue and would've just taken unnecessary punishment. Those pillows were putting him to sleep.

Everyone could see it was the end....if Wilder doesn't fancy the rematch which I think he will then Frank, Bob and Tyson should offer Joshua 15%

Wilder had the legs of a newborn fawn after the 3rd round and it was only getting worse. It was not like he was just suddenly hurt. He did not look right and Mark did the right thing. I know he is a puncher and you want to give them all the chances in the world to come back, but he had no balance to throw anything with authority.
