That's one way to look at it, but it is much easier to see that Wilder knew he could get dragged in deep waters. Fury is a consummated boxer.

There is no reason to make this about slavery. Is Wilder unhappy with his handlers? Has he NOT worked under the same promotional banner for some time? It is up to him and his corner for when/how to throw in the towel...Not his promoters. So regardless of what they say, he is getting his wishes met in every turn.
