Wilder never grew as a fighter. He looks the same now as he did when he became a pro. That is the problem of PBC fighters. Haymon refuses to allow his fighters to go up in quality as they advance their careers. Due to this they never fully develop as fighters so their growth stagnates thus leading to outcomes like what happened to Wilder. This is what has happened to the Charlo brothers and it is what is happening to Davis.
Wilder's chin.

He has a good chin. He dropped Fury twice in the first fight and Fury dropped him twice in the rematch and both got up and rose back to their feet.Comment

The chin is OK.
Wilder was floored by a huge right hand to the ear, which will probably knock most heavyweights down if not out, and by a body shot.
Wilder is weak in technique, body and legs. Not in the chin department.Last edited by Tatabanya; 02-23-2020, 09:45 AM.Comment

I agree. All these heavyweights can punch. And they all can go down.
This isn't bantamweight. There is force behind their shots.
I am glad the myth of Fury being a pitty patter is gone by the wayside.
You don't knock out over 20 guys with feathers.Comment

Tbh I’m a Fury fan but sometimes he doesn’t punch his weight when he’s up on his toes and his weight is more on his back foot. But when he steps in. Those shots are heavy. Anyone who followed him really sees the facial damage he causes and that’s largely from stepping in with jabs.
I don’t think ANY heavyweights can take a sustained beating from another one. Literally none.
People are so used to the 147ers that they don’t understand when someone can’t hold a shot.
Well, it’s because that guy who hit him is f.ucking massive and his brain is sliding around inside his craniumComment
