Fury is not a big puncher. Wladimir has no chin and he took a shellacking for 12. What does that say about wilder chin?

      You can't compare those fights.

Fury approach with Wladimir was totally different since Wlad was a fine boxer with power and not someone like Wilder with almost zero boxing skills for a world champion.

Fury was elusive and picking his shots since he knew that too much risk would mean danger with Wlad.

It doesn't matter though because Wilder faced a savage beating because he was willing and able too eat all of that shit just to land his equalizer. He is a soldier. The question you should be asking yourself is why couldn't Fury keep him down? It's because of combination of Wilder's balls and Fury's lack of punching power even after he outweighed Wilder by more than 40 pounds.

A busted ear, jaw, and lost a WBC title says you're wrong. Comparing it to a performance a half a decade ago doesn't change that.

Listen to david haye - he can get wobbled but he recovers very quickly. It wasn’t that he couldn’t take Fury’s punch, but he was taking too many of them. Fury drained the fight out of him.

Fury is a fighter that gets TKO's by beating people to a pulp over many rounds with his skills.

Even Schwartz got up and had to be saved by the ref.

No Fury fan says he is a big puncher, but it's much worse taking multiple shots over many rounds..... that's why Wilder's team threw the towel in..... he would have kept fighting if he could have and even as a Fury fan, I respect Wilder for the chin and bravery he displayed, a true champion.

It’s average, it’s still better than Joshuas. Wilder ate some solid shots from Ortiz, shots that would’ve probably dropped AJ. Fury hit him behind the ear, you can’t help that.

Due to this they never fully develop as fighters so their growth stagnates thus leading to outcomes like what happened to Wilder. This is what has happened to the Charlo brothers and it is what is happening to Davis.
I disagree, it isn't a PBC fighter problem, it's just Wilder's problem. Now I do agree that PBC needs to let it fighters fight tougher opponents. Wilder doesn't work on becoming a better boxer, he said so himself. He's a horrible fighter who relied on one thing. Compare that to a fighter like Jermall Charlo. Now while Charlo needs to step the heck up he also at least works on his craft and tries to get better. Case in point, during the Trout fight Charlo wouldn't throw an uppercut to save his life. Even when trout kept dipping down to this left to avoid punches. We kept talking about it in the round by round thread during the fight. Fast forward to the Julian Williams fight and you can see he worked on that counter uppercut cause he caught Williams with it beautifully. Now his problem is that he needs to step up the level of competition.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Fury IS a big puncher. When he goes to land big he can crack very, very hard.
