Floyd is going to wind up with a mystic aura. Like Rocky Marciano but for his incredible defense, rather than knocking people out cold.

Pacquiao will be remembered by hardcore fans and pinoys.

Pac will be remembered more, and barrera and morales and jmm and bradley will be linked to Pac more than Floyd with Pac s rematches and triologies.

Duran can never get back his loss to laing, but I'm s ure duran will be remembered more. I'm also sure Mike tyson.will be remembered more than douglas.
As really what I'm saying is Floyd s win over pac has got nothing to do with who will be remembered more. Pac much.more entertaining and did more so will be remembered more.
There's too many American slicksters . Not many Filipino superstars so that in itself Pac will stand out. Also with a name like pac man.
In 100 years when they talk about Filipino 8 division superstar people won't have to think hard who they're talking about.
I think my Tonka truck is bigger than yours lol.

        That sums up you.

One guy retired 5 years earlier and still holds the record for most world champions beaten and retired 50-0. The other one you could easily argue should have 10 losses. He’s a legend in the sport despite that but I don’t think he compares to Floyd in terms of career or skills. And there’s at least 4-5 guys who gave Floyd much harder fights than Manny did.

Just thought it was funny because Jack Johnson fought over a 100 years ago and we still talk about him, yet there are a lot of boxers that fought Jack that we rarely bring up.

In 100 years, who do you think people will talk about more when the subject of boxing comes up?

                Probably the American.

Now obviously America has changed from Jack Johnson's time to Floyd Mayweather's time but what has oddly stayed the same is white people still despise the loud, brash, ****y, black fighter. That fighter usually generates the most revenue because the majority of white fans pay to see that fighter lose. That is the fighter that is most remembered. You all know this.

Just like Johnson, Ali, and Tyson, Floyd no matter how much current posters hate that reality. Floyd defined the era. He was the most known fighter. He was the most polarizing fighter. He is the fighter most of the boxers from the following era pattern themselves after. He was the cash cow. He was the face of the sport.

Just look at this thread so far. The 2 posters before me that claimed Manny would be more remembered post about Floyd more than any other fighter.

Yeah turn it into a race thread, nobody cares about the *** movement ,the sooner thats swept under the carpet the better
This is a boxing forum not a racial equality political debate

Cant talk about one without the other

But think of it like this

Floyd's retired and is still headline news whatever he does

Manny only gets mentioned when fighting really now

Neither will be talked about in 100 years

The people alive then won’t be familiar with either. The new gen wasn’t around to experience them
