overall, i think pacquaio will most likely talked about a bit more though, because of his worldwide icon status similar to that of Mike Tyson.

Yes sir he will in that aspect

This thread is aging great just like all the other Pac-May debates lol. Fact is Pacquiao is barely mentioned unless Mayweather name is involved. His last 2 ppvs against two of the most popular WW didn’t even produce 1M. He begged to fight McGregor after Floyd did and the fight generated zero interest. All the threads on boxingscene are majority Floyd Mayweather. The only place he’ll be talked about more is in his country and he is not as loved in his country as his fans/boxing media portray. Mayweather is regarded as one of the best if not the best defensive fighter. What is Pacquiao considered the best at?

        Oh

Floyd fans can't help mentioning pac. Pac is mentioned for having better more in depth resume than floyd and proving his superiority for fighting on longer. Being able to fight on longer when your defence isn't as good as the other guy surely is more captivating, enchanting than boring defence alone.
If your defence is so good like Floyd's why aren't you champ in 8 divisions and fighting until your 45 years old?
If I was a betting man Pac will be remembered more.

in 100 years.. when people talk about floyd, it will be in a joking manner where as when they talk about manny, it will be serious and GOAT talk.

This is definitely false. Pac is still relevant fighting today's crop of good ww's on some George Foreman/Bernard Hopkins type flow.

            Floyd is devoid of that.

                  1. Because he didn’t fight for 8 vacant titles like Pacquiao.

                  2. He doesn’t need to fight professional anymore because he’s not broke and in financial stress. He saved Pacquiao from retiring in debt and has made money off his last 3 fights lol. Pacquiao owes America 20M in back taxes so of course he’s still fighting.

So if that is the case, why does he keep stepping in the ring in some capacity.

Especially since he is worried about his health and made smart investments so he doesn't have to get in the ring anymore.

Right thats all he ever talked about isn't it?

Because it’s easy safe money just as all the other greats have done. It’s not like he’s getting beat up in these exhibitions like the great Ali. You ignored all the other things I wrote because you know it was true. He has made smart investments and one of those investments included bringing Pacquiao over to PBC lol. The only part that caught your attention was the part about his money. I wonder why? Jealous?
