Hearn would state it if the fighters are turning down the offers because of restrictions he's not. And Coppinger reporting there is no clause and that the fighters are asking for more money. Golden boy owner saying the fighters are asking for more money no mention of clauses. This isn't complicated just excuses from haters on why fighters are pricing themselves out which has always existed in boxing we just didn't know about it before social media

You don't know what Hearn would state or not. Coppinger posted no rehydration clause yet. he didn't in anyway rule out other clauses so don't extrapolate his post into something else.

That is a fair point. When fighting Canelo you already are somewhat behind the 8 ball. he is a great fighter. You will be fighting on his network. You see the scorecard that gave him a draw against Floyd so you know as a fighter you are going to lose on 1 judges card no matter what. If there are any other clauses or restrictions included that makes winning almost impossible.

Well fighters are cowards. People love to say "fighters who get into the ring isnt a coward" LMFAO STOP IT....... fighters are cowards at times and alot of them become that when faced against the Great Canelo, hell even mawyeather had to tuck tail and eat his words and force a catchweight against the great canelo. It's not the first time. Winky turned down a fortune when Oscar wanted to fight him. Manny turned down a fortune for years to fight Floyd refusing the money and then refusing a blood test. Trinidad turned down a fortune rematch with Oscar not once but TWICE. Fans lied and said Kovalev must of been offered a catchweight BS offer that that's why he decided to turn down the money and fight Yarde even his own promoter said it was turned down over money and nothing else. Now you doing the same thing. Stop making up BS about imaginary clauses that none of the promoters say exist and no report says has been attached to the offer.

Yep...good points/posts...I was like 'why would any of these dudes turn down that fight'...and then I think you may have hit it on the head.

Not to mention that any contracts probably have NDAs attached as well...where if you do or don't sign, you can't say what stipulations were in the contract or you can get sued perhaps.

And then floating out that these guys 'ducked' Canelo just creates the narrative too that Canelo and his team want to engender...that Canelo is too much right now and no one wants to face him.

He has given up the belt twice. Fighters, regardless of promotional affiliation, are turning down deals that are allegedly worth many times what they've ever made before.

Meanwhile, the other MW champs are not getting offers to fight him (or allegedly got one a year ago that we just heard about a few weeks ago.)

LMFAO. Canelo is a great fighter. No question. He is also a proven steroid cheat that has voluntarily given up his belt twice. I don't think anyone is afraid of him but I guess his diehard fans have to believe in his invincibility. Floyd did to him what Canelo does to guys that earn less than him so you shouldn't really complain. Same thing ODH did to bhop, bhop just beat his ass.

I am not making anything up. I am wondering what might cause fighters to turn the fight down. In no way did I claim definitively there was a clause that caused this. Go away, you are ruining a good discussion.

Thats complete bs,every single fight with clauses has had a statement sent to the media which is why fat Dan has reported on each case & made it clear gbp told him. I just explained to you why that whole narrative is bs & yet you persist & brush off the proof I posted that nobody with a 10 lb morning of rehydration was drained like if Canelo made a cw fight,& those guys came in heavier than usual & in Jacobs case it gave him a huge advantage. Remember when the bs narrative was that Canelo was a cruiserweight weightbullying supposed smaller fighters who actually rehydrated just as much or more like Trout,Kirkland,Smith, Lara etc etc & who all are taller than Canelo. Smith is 6'3" ffs

I think the bad left hook makes the most sense-whoever accepts the least amount will get the fight. Will be interested in seeing the numbers when Nevada announces the purses whoever gets the fight.
