BREAKING NEWS: Canelo makes offer to Caleb Plant, Saunders, Smith

Told by Eddie Hearn that Billy Joe Saunders, as well as Callum Smith, has turned down an initial offer to fight Canelo next. He insists negotiations are ongoing and they're not pricing themselves out - also believes Canelo's team have approached Caleb Plant.

So the theory is, since Plant is a belt holder, that Smith and BJS aren’t interested in the amounts because Canelo has no 168 belt. I would imagine both BJS and Smith want no less than 60/40 because they insist it’s the belts that Canelo wants.

However approaching a Haymon fighter how is this going to be any easier since we saw what happened with the Charlo fight.

Why are they not jumping on this? People are being fooled by the Kovalev debacle and the soft touch that Canelo squashed at 168, all of three of these guys can pull it off. Imo Canelo should stay at 160.

Oscar made the low ball offer to Jermall way back before he fought Jacobs and it doesn't have a damn thing to do with Canelo's opponent for this coming May. Try to get your facts straight. Andrade and Jermall have received no offers to fight Canelo in May. Saunders and Smith have apparently been offered about 4 million which is pretty damn low considering they are both world champions. Jacobs got 15 million and Khan got 13 million to fight Canelo but Callum Smith is supposed to be thrilled to get 4 million?????
