PBC didn't build Wilder he was already a world champ and it's debatable on what you consider created because the other was boxing top prospect already built up to on the cusp of a world title. If anything PBC delayed Spence getting a world title faster because Haymon didn't want to have all his guys at 147 fight Spence instead wanted to get them all different belts. Under Golden Boy I think they would of got Spence fighting for a world title faster.

Tank is the only guy that wasn't built at all by Golden Boy
Are you sure about Spence? If he was a hot prospect under them then he doesn't qualify as a PBC-created star either.

Yup Spence's first 15 fights after he turned pro were promoted by Golden Boy.

None of those other guys are stars yet. Although Caleb Plant has potential to become one.
Yeah, I agree. They all have Ls. However, Adam Kownacki has star potential. He is huge in Brooklyn; Especially among the Polish population.

They built up some popular fighters I guess the same as with everyone else. Are there any stars left? Canelo and Joshua maybe

Barely. Wilder's last fight under Golden Boy was the first Stiverne fight. Spence was with GBP for his first 15 fights as a prospect and he got very little attention at that point. Either way, Golden Boy was Schaefer and Haymon. Haymon owns PBC and Schaefer is one of his promoters now. Same team, different company name. They built those guys.

The premise of this thread is clear, though. What stars has PBC created that did not start out getting built up by Golden Boy.

              That is my question.

The answer to your question is that no one that has turned pro in the last 5 years (post-Haymon GBP) has been turned into a star by PBC. Anybody that's been a pro over 5 years was associated to Haymon when he was still essentially running GBP. So that's a pretty small timeframe.

                  Fair enough.

I don't know about Haymon "running GBP," however. Schaefer might have but not Haymon.

And since they went their separate ways Oscar has been able to build two Prospects of the Year. Haymon has not had similar success. That is very telling.

That is a testament to GBP. Prospect of the Year is based as much on hype as talent so that does require a promoter to get your name out there.
