There was several that were significant, money aside. I will mention the top 5 in no order.

AJ knocking out Wlad - This brought Wlad’s long reign to an end and legitimized AJ’s hype. It also gave AJ a leg up in the AJ vs Wilder conversation.

Mayweather beating Canelo - Without this win, Mayweather likely doesn’t win FOTD

Pacquiao beating Thurman - This win put a big ? on the WW division and how good they really are if an old, past prime Pacquiao beat one of the better WW’s.

Marquez KO’ing Pacquiao - This was, imo, the upset of the decade, the KO of the decade, and the best win of the decade.

Cotto KO’ing Martinez for The Ring/Lineal title at 160 - “A Martinez at 50% will still be too much for Cotto” - This was the sentiment among fans going into the fight about the underdog, Miguel Cotto’s chances of beating Sergio Martinez. After the fight, lots of excuses.

      Notable mentions:

Rungvisai beating Gonzalez twice - the hype for RG died a horrible death. Catapulted into the #1 P4P with some iffy wins, and some okay wins, then got exposed after a few seconds in the spotlight to prove his legitimacy.

Rigondeaux schooling Donaire - Donaire had a lot of hype, a lot of highlight reel KO’s, high P4P spot, high praise. All came crashing down with this really bad loss.

Lomachenko vs Rigondeaux - Froze out from getting the big names of his weight class, riding high from the Donaire win, followed by a handful of insignificant fights, ducked as if he was prime Mike Tyson - Rigo was forced to look up for big fights. Moving up two weight classes to fight a bigger version of himself. This loss, even though it happened at a higher weight class, probably signaled the end for Rigondeaux at the top level. Did nothing the entire 2018, and at has fought 2 insignificant fights since then. He is scheduled to fight for the vacant WBA title at Bantamweight vs a no name.
