Name recognition makes you a star, not money. Tyson is known by common folk everywhere. Not so with Floyd. Also, there isn’t a shadow of a doubt that if Mike were fighting in this era, he’d earn much more than Mayweather, if only because of said name recognition. Tyson’s heyday were the late eighties and nineties. Even then he earned around $300 million.

Money wise mayweather may have earned a bit more ( not too much more when u factor in inflation ) , but mike seems to be in the top5 most recognized faces in boxing , prolly top 3 or 2 really . So to answer the question no floyd isnt what tyson was star wise ....he was when it came to the deniero tho .

Floyd's numbers were influenced with today's technology and social media as marketing tools that Mike Tyson did not have, not to mention inflation too. Topic is who had more Star power. Money power is ofcoarse Floyd in a different era. But the bigger star worldwide is Tyson without a doubt.
