Were all the rest not enough, the ear bite incident has cemented Tyson's icon across the universe.

Chris Carter quoted it twice, both in X-Files and Millennium.

The public never stop recognizing Mike Tyson as the heavyweight champion, I can remember a friend of mine asking? 'So what belt does Danny Williams have now that he has beaten Mike Tyson?' I replied 'Mike Tyson was not the world champion'. Mike Tyson was possibly the first fighter to go beyond the belts, he was the bench mark for his entire career 'That was why Lennox Lewis had to eventually face him, THE PUBLIC still recognized Mike Tyson as a champion.

Just look at these scenes below, it was as if Godzilla was arriving at the airport 'Politicians where arguing in parliament on whether to stop him from arriving in the UK.

Just as a person and character Mike Tyson was somewhat of a enigma, it was not about money or how many twitter/Instagram followers he had 'Mike Tyson was the baddest man in the world, and was heavyweight champion when? That title was still quite possibly the greatest title any single man could hold'

hmm well i hope I am alive to recognise the undertaker when he comes for me, that way I will send him home with a rap from my (by then) walking stick.

I do concur Money is really an American thing, and has only been international WHEN hes fought a name outside america BY dint of that name.

The other level with tyson is hes as notorious as much as famous, for his major misdemeanors in life. Its a polar reaction with tyson ,people like him or hate him.

Agreed on everything. And Lewis still brags about himself beating the shot shell of Iron Mike.

Did anyone else notice how Tyson, at the time of this UK visit, looked like Regis Prograis?

Mike Tyson is a much more popular athlete. He was dominant in the ring, he was feared, he had the machine behind him.

Floyd is self made. He's hated by the boxing media, hated by half the boxing fans has no endorsements but yet is the decade's richest athlete. Truly a one of a kind transcendent athlete.

He was not made a puppet for the man sadly like Ali and Tyson. Those are the beloved popular boxers. Floyd just mastered the game
