Lol I'm an old guy and even I know a "media tour" is so 20th Century. If you are talking about young casuals, they don't read newspapers, they don't watch tv; hell they don't even HAVE TVs. They are not going to get off their asses and sit around for the traditional set up where the promoters and trainers and boxers sit up on a platform and insult each other.

Social media is where this bout should be promoted. On phones, not tv. The boxing fans know about this fight, and sports fans who are not big boxing fans are seeing ads for it on ESPN and Fox football and basketball games. These media will cover everyone who would possibly pay for the fight.

OK, one big pre fight conference posted live on YouTube is all they need.

It's not a Logan Paul-KSI circus so they don't require press conferences

This fight don't need a tour to sell to boxing fans. But a media tour might gather interest from non boxing fans, so it's a missed opportunity

It'll be media from all over the world that week. Major media not just boxing media.
A press tour (what's that? three promotions?) makes it onto YouTube, clips on Facebook and Twitter. They go viral.

The old fashioned face off gets trotted out because it works.

Guarantee FOX Promote this thing like no other during the Playoffs and especially during the Super Bowl which is 2-3 Weeks before the fight

Press Tours are OVERRATED AS F#CK! It is OLD FASHION Promotion and it really didn't work for their first fight lets be honest

Let the Networks FOX and ESPN promote this not to us the Hardcore fans who will watch this thing regardless...but ESPN and FOX reaches the more important CASUAL Sports fan who is not sitting on his/her ass on disability trolling a forum all day crying about PPV and DAZN Prices but instead is working and has more than the Extra MONEY to pay for the PPV.

While Boxing appreciate and need us the Hardcore Boxing Fans...we are not the end all be all and we alone CANNOT make a fight a Mega Fight. It takes Hardcore boxing fans ALONG WITH the Casuals to make a match in boxing a "Mega Fight" in the US. The best way to get Casuals on Boards is by having exposure on Big Networks like ESPN and FOX

This isn't a fight on Showtime or HBO. ESPN & FOX are available to more eyeballs. Shoulder programming and the final week push is enough. They're going to be interviewed at the Superbowl. The press tour for Floyd vs Conor was good because both are entertaining and also because after the press tour the shoulder programming would be on a premium cable station with less views. After their press tour they were mostly hidden. Wilder & Fury are about to be on two of the biggest TV stations on a weekly basis.

No reason to have a press tour for a rigged fight.
