and the only two guys who can change that pecking order are Pacquiao/Spence

Manny's best chance of beating one of the top 3, could be Spence

not because of the accident, and I think Spence is legit... but because of style

Porter is a tough fight for Pac, like the Horn fight... and Crawford is a real bad style... Spence is a little inbetween, he is a better matchup... Pac would not see as much constant pressure from Spence like he would from Porter, who is a dog... it could suit his game better and give him more opportunities, allow him to fight at a slower pace and pick his spots/shots

a shootout would suit Pac more than a dogfight at this point

I would definitely favor Spence at this stage... but like with Thurman, returning from injury/inactivity could be the right time for Pac to take that fight

who else does not rate Crawford in the top 2 at welter... ?

the only reason why he is 3rd is because both porter and thurman just lost to number 1 and number 2 where both were very competitive

crawford just fought a competitive fight vs the nmber 11 guy and got hurt (that was a KD )

the eye test result says crawford is number 5 ww imo
ugas and Spence both beat porter so Porter is #7

In 2019, Kavaliaskas is better than Josesito Lopez. I will give Lopez the edge if we are talking about career achievements, however Kava was ranked in the Ring magazine top-10 last year and Josesito wasn't. Also, the Victor Ortiz fight was a long time ago...

Andre Berto would be a step up in competition for Crawford. #HypeJob #CherryPicker #Overrated #BumBeater

Porter has lost every time he’s stepped up. He also got a gift against Ugas, who won 8 rounds of that fight. Porter is a gate keeper at welterweight.

If you think Spence and Pacquiao are better, I have no problem with that. But thinking Thurman and Porter are better is an absolute joke.
Pac vs Thurman was a super close fight. Without the KD in the 1st round it goes to Thurman. The official ruling was a SD as it was.

Saying all that, he might be shot, but only time will tell. The Thurman that fought Porter would've beat Pacquiao.

The Pacquiao before 40 would beat Thurman easier.

Crawford has the same problem as Wilder at heavyweight. Level of opposition he fights.

Beating Horn, Kavaliauskas, Jose Benavidez, doesn`t prove you are better than Spence, Thurman, Porter.

We know Wilder is not the beast heavyweight because he has got a gift draw against Fury. About Crawford -to be determined. Hopefully he fights some PBC guys.

Agree completely with this analysis. I too would favor Spence, who falls square between the style extremes of Crawford/Porter that I think would each be more problematic for Pac overall in their respective ways, but by a slim margin. And for obvious reasons this is pretty much the most opportune time for Pac to pursue that fight, not to be insensitive about the whole scenario.
