Everyone will continue to dismiss that idea but it’s true.
But he won't become undisputed unless he fights AJ, which he won't. No matter how much money they throw at him. That's either bad business or cowardice, take your pick.

Wilder is 35, his only shot at undisputed and a career payday is to fight on DAZN.
Saudi’s know Hearn will no play ball and make it happen. Haymon and PBC are unknowns.
If Wilder wins next month and the Saudi’s throw AJ type money at him he’s a damn fool if he turns it down. He gets outboxed every fight but gets a KO. He can’t hide behind the fairness excuse of DAZN judges etc.. he’s not going in there to get a decision. Do what’s best for your family and future and knock AJ out if your really that guy.

And Fury vs AJ has better chances of happening next than AJ vs Wilder.

Oh man, speaking to the choir at the top my friend.

I have for a few years now tried to navigate who owns what fights because I'd very much like to be one of those cheap low end distributors. You know how you can get just a ton of like Mighty Mouse or Silly Symphonies, Pop-Eye, Superman, etc, early cartoons on one tape or dvd or whatever? I want to do that but with boxing.

I realize there are the pirate dvds and stuff like that. I'd like to make some cheap official high quality dvds not some home burned nonsense. Menus and extras and stuff, maybe radio broadcasts and ****.

Anyway, even with fights that are almost certainly in public domain or not been given a **** about for a long time you'd be surprised at who owns what. Remember when ESPN did seriously old fights and had some guys intro them? Yeah, they bought up rights and fights whose rights had lapsed they went ahead and made their own!

So, yeah, I get that it's hard to tell who owns what, but, in the case of Wilder the only thing I've ever heard bragged about in terms of business is his google search hits. So I have to believe the value in buying his fights is somewhere in there.

This one has issues 'cause it's flagged...which is why I can't embed it

This is the exact same video but with mortal kombat sound effects:

If time had anything to do with it, in my case anyway, the second video wouldn't fly any more than the first.

I took a bunch of copyrighted material, cut down just the KOs, added copyrighted sound effects, and somehow that one is okay.

It's a crazy minefield and I'm inclined to believe it only gets worse as you get bigger. Guys like Fox and BT are definitely paying someone for those clips. If Wilder's smart it's him. Don King, Bob Arum, and Oscar De La Hoya own most of boxing, HBO, Sho, and ESPN own most of the distribution in the US. Well, did, I dunno what happened to HBO distribution rights once they quit but they used to, if I want to distribute a fight in anyway it may be Wilder who owns it but it's probably not him who owns the distribution at the moment. I reckon that's Fox presently and I reckon that is what Fox paid for and I reckon the reason they paid for it is so that they can shove a family guy advert onto Wilder videos on places like youtube. or some such similar online hit based advertisement nonsense.

            Good post bud.

Undisputed doesn't even equate to box office potential in this day and age.
Undisputed don't mean squat in the box office.

a huge gain for either one as greedy fighters always get the lion share.
Same thing with the Joshua fight, if it even happens in our lifetime.

Kownacki vs Wilder can't be that big.
Ruiz vs Wilder can't be that big in house either.
                So what is it?
“Greedy fighters always get the lions share.” Lol...poor promoters and networks.

It's shocking that in a country with over 50m black people...Wilder isnt the biggest star in boxing. they make so many excuses like 'we have nba, nfl etc' but the reality is that people in the USA know who cristiano ronaldo and david beckham are, but dont know who Wilder is.
in america JAMES CORDEN is more famous than wilder.

Gone are the days when people in the media don't just report news. They dig deeper. They never question why Ortiz, for example, is getting over $7 million in the Wilder/Ortiz 2 fight, which is probably no bigger than the Breazeale/Wilder fight.

Not a single reporter asked either Ortiz or Wilder to confirm what they reported even in this day and age of social media.

So this question in the title will remain unanswered for many years to come.

It's true. I remember Showtime not being able to produce fights the rest of 2015.
This was after May/Pac was concluded.
I thought to myself where is the money they claim they make out of Floyd's fights?
And the lack of fights continued in the first quarter of the next year.
                      I cancelled my subscription.
And HBO was the only one being able to come up with fights every week.
