So what's the catch to overpaying Wilder?

What exactly is this investment all about?
What exactly is the PBC fight that would recoup their loses?
Fury is a joint venture for 2 networks, which is not exactly
a huge gain for either one as greedy fighters always get the lion share.
Same thing with the Joshua fight, if it even happens in our lifetime.

Kownacki vs Wilder can't be that big.
Ruiz vs Wilder can't be that big in house either.
    So what is it?

    Don't know.

Showtime decided to stop the bleeding so they can focus on other fights. Maybe Fox will come to their senses eventually and decide to do the same.

$3M vs $60M lol - Wilder needs to escape his captors and get that Saudi blood

Saudi sports minister say's they want an undisputed fight there next year between Joshua and Wilder, so no excuses, those mass murderers would throw around plenty of money to please both sides.

I mean what's the long-term benefit of this for Fox and Showtime?
It's not like Wilder gives them a share of his loot or something.
He might even join DAZN eventually.

If Wilder becomes undisputed, it pays off. Having the heavyweight champion is a must if you want to be the top dog network.

It pays off with which PBC fighter?
You think AJ would fight exclusively on Showtime/Fox?
You think Fury would fight exclusively on Showtime/Fox?

You're not getting it doe, as usual.

If he becomes undisputed, every fight after that becomes a huge money maker.

Everyone tunes in to watch the one recognized heavyweight champion, even if the opponent isn’t that big.

If thats true and it gets to the point where the Saudi's can offer something to Wilder and Joshua then Wilder will of struck gold. Saudi's got crazy money to throw around they will give Wilder an obscene amount of money to take that fight.

All Wilder has to do is play ball. Dont start demanding to ask what they giving Joshua, Dont be saying "I will take the Saudi money if the fight is held at the Barclays center." Or any ****** crap like that. In short dont be finding excuses not to take the opportunity. Cuz if you take it, go with the terms and take those belts you will find yourself in the exact position you have craved for your whole career.
