I already picked Ruiz but that weigh-in has me nervous.
AJ vs Ruiz II?

Ruiz by KO.
Every fighter that relies on power eventually runs into a guy that doesn't fall. AJ doesn't have the depth or the stamina to box a seasoned pro for 12 rounds. Without his power over chin advantage, he just doesn't have the tools. He's not Lennox Lewis, Larry Holmes, or even Wladimir Kitschko. He's a late-comer to the sport who's built his record knocking out senior citizens and taxi drivers. Ruiz has a deep amateur background and can take AJ's punch.Comment

I have no idea. Joshua looks like a damaged fighter. Maybe he took too much punishment as an amateur and that's why he can't take a punch. Ruiz is very sloppy and very short. A skilled fighter like Joshua should be able to outbox him. It can go either way but it mostly depends on how well AJ can take a punch and if his stamina is improved.Comment

I got ruiz by ko. I think he'll get joshua out of there under 7.
The thing most people cant seem to realize, because they havent been following ruiz, is how hard this dude can ****.
With all that extra weight of power and joshua losing all that weight ,after already being hurt and stopped in the first fight, i don't see him lasting too long.Last edited by llll; 12-06-2019, 06:15 PM.Comment

Notice all the PBC trolls don't vote in polls like this? So they can claim they weren't picking Ruiz.

AJ by ko.
I just can't see AJ getting hit with that top of the head shot again.
I see it going as AJ keeping his distance, jabbing. Occasional right straight/hook.
Ruiz will start thinking he is being made to look bad and start looking for the bomb shot. Will miss and AJ get's him with the 1-2 and its over. Probably within three rounds.Comment

Ruiz has a better pedigree and should win. He has better conditioning/endurance, throws combos faster and has better timing as well as a better chin. AJ will box well on the outside and look good for 4 rds and win them cleanly. Then he will eventually tire and get caught with a some good shots which will weaken the legs and make him not want to fight again. If he survives AJ will get a highly disputed decision. Ruiz loses on points but beats the sh@t out of AJ overall. Then there's the Trilogy fight.
Wilder stops Fury and waits for the winner of the 3rd Ruiz Joshua fight.Comment

Definitely I was thinking Ruiz would get another stoppage but the weigh in has me second guessing that. Joshua looks like he's done what he needed to do, Ruiz looks like he's done what I was afraid he might do.
still going with Ruiz but...Comment

AJ by KO, TKO or by Ruiz quitting on his stool...or his corner throwing the towel. I see AJ catching him with a thunderous uppercut and Ruiz crumbling and not being able to get back up. 3-6 rounds of softening Ruiz up should do the trick. Coming in 15 pounds heavier, Ruiz has proven that does not have the discipline to remain a champion. Every time we saw him the last few months, he was out at an event, a party, a TV show, meeting the Mexican President. NOT TRAINING. And even when his trainer wanted to start training camp, Ruiz didn't show up for the first week. It's not a coincidence that he shows up 15 pounds heavier. And every interview he downplays AJ and acts like it's no problem for Ruiz to "do it again" in this fight. That shows you that he is not hungry like he was in the first fight. While AJ on the other hand came in over confident in the first fight, yet in this fight he's the hungry fighter. This all spells bad news for Ruiz.Comment
