I think Ali did this for 2 reasons. 1st Shavers did hit like a truck, and 2nd it was a way to defect from Foreman who Ali did not want to fight again after 3rd Frazier fight in 75 which all but finished Ali. The Shavers fight was in 77, and by that time Ali did not have much left. Tua could really hit with the hook, but not on Wilder's level imo. Foreman had heaviest hands in history imo, and could punch with both hands. Wilder has more "snap" power much like a T Hearns. Its close, but I would still take Foreman with Wilder the 2nd hardest all time. Without a doubt though we are witnessing one of the most dangerous puncher's in history, and its a shame all the haters are missing it. Who hates a HUGE punching guy with a NASTY killer instinct??? No matter how bad his skills are compared to other top heavys in history.
I'm going with Shavers, purely because Ron Lyle who fought both men said that Shavers' power was on another to Foreman's which is insane to think about.
Quick Tillis also said Tyson "hits like a ******" compared to Shavers.

It's worth bearing in mind that Shavers didn't get his big fights until late in his career.

Mind you, Ruiz lost a battle, Kownacki won EVERYTHING.

Ruiz won the championship and lots of money so I am sure he doesn't care about the past too much.

Maybe Kownacki will get his chance. He'd get a very good crowd here in the US for sure.

Everyone wants to win everything. But I agree, Ruiz winning all these belts sort of erased this loss in his mind. The truth is that only Kownacki has 0 loses and 0 draws. My favourite scenario is winning Pulev on IBF then knocking out skinny-legged tall chicken and final meeting with Ruiz. This will be something.

I like both over AJ, but I think their good fights if he can overcome Ruiz.
I would enjoy any of those matchups. Always good when top guys fight. Of the four men mentioned, I would rank Ruiz number four. Very interested in seeing how Saturday’s fight between Andy and AJ plays out. I consider Joshua a slight favorite.

We shall live, we shall see. The problem for Kownacki is that he must wait double or triple time for a belt fight comparing to lesser fighters because he's from Poland. I believe that he will be given the IBF chance, destroys Pulev easily and will become a real contender for Wilders, Ruizes or Joshuas.
No your base your opinion on being a cheerleader. Kownacki prob does have a good chin, but not getting dropped by Wash or Martin don't prove sh it. Also being Polish is the reason he gets the attention he does, not from any REAL skills he has shown yet. There is a large Polish community in MANY big cities in USA, ESP Chicago.

Yea but Wilder had already KOed them before. Once a guy knows he is not world class and the dream has all but died they don't train the same or many times don't take a shot as well. Kownacki is made to order for Wilder. If they fight lets put a bet on it
