Kudos to DAZN, not many companies will admit their mistakes, especially in boxing, and attempt to rectify the situation later. Says alot about the character of the guys running the show at DAZN.. most people dont have that kind of self awareness.

What happened behind the scenes was that Wilder wanted to know what AJ would get(to gauge the split amount) but DAZN refused to say, I think Wilder took that as a sign of favoritism and changed his mind about the deal.
I listened to an interview with Hearn where he explained what happened there in a way that made sense to me:

AJ does not have a contract with DAZN. He is contracted exclusively to Matchroom, aka Eddie Hearn. So DAZN don't pay AJ anything, they pay Eddie, and AJ's cut is then determined by the terms of his Matchroom contract, which is a private and confidential agreement between Hearn and AJ.

Wilder specifically said that he would not take part in any negotiations involving Eddie Hearn. That's why John Skipper decided to meet with him and his team to negotiate a deal between Wilder and DAZN, without Hearn being involved in any way.

For Al Haymon to then turn around and start asking Skipper about Hearn's business with AJ and DAZN, without Eddie even being present, was a none starter.

Hearn said he didn't believe that Wilder's team ever had any intention of fighting AJ or anybody else on DAZN. They only turned up to fish for information about how much money AJ was getting from Matchroom.

You guys all seem to miss the point. Wilder needed and deserved bare minimum of $50 million to fight AJ a year ago. With $75 million for rematch. That’s $125 million for 2 fights plus PPV upside.

Dazn offered $100 million for 3 fights. Terrible offer with no upside.

Now that AJ has lost. This fight goes Wilders way finically 60-40. Dazn and Hearn really screwed up here. This was yet another blunder in a unprecedented long line of blunders made by Dazn since entering the US Market.

Terrible offer??? Lolololol. Ofcourse we all know wilder and his team had no intentions of taking Joshua's fantastic offers no matter how good the money.

The truth is if Wilder had signed to DAZN he would be expected to take some hard fights. That's what he was avoiding.

The only decent fighters he has beaten are Stiverne and Ortiz in 40+fights. Both were old at the time.

The Fury fight was low-risk/high gain against a big name without a punch, who had been fat and retired for 2 years.

What tough fights? Breazelle was mandatory, so who’s tougher for his next two than Ortiz and Fury?

Wilder makes about $2m a fight and $120m is dishonest. What a lying shi7bag of a fraud.

If you don't see by now Wilder is a total protected fraud counterfeit asset of Haymon and Finkel you a dummy.

Wilder knows he can keep rejecting $100m offers because he knows Haymon is rigging him to never lose.

They can't rig Whyte so they rig the WBC to block Whyte out of his mandatory shot.

Ortiz was a drug cheat but Wilder has no issue fighting him because Haymon has him rigged to lose.

How about someone in the top-10 who isn't 40 years old or who fights bums for a living?

I asked you to name a fighter. You came back with “someone”

                    Typical.

Lol. That one got me. If I remember clearly from an article a while back, his beef was over how much Joshua was making. Only females worry about how much another man is making. Needa worry about your own pocket. Period.
