To me it's the same for Lennox Lewis who happens to have a great record on paper, but the names on his resume doesn't represent the value of those wins when you are not looking at context. Hence why a lot of people, imo, overrates Lewis massively.
I got his point, its just not factual. Floyd can't control the decisions made by Shane and Manny. People that have a bias against Floyd use his "not fighting people when he should've" to criticize him, yet leave out the part where Kosta, ODH, SHane and Manny all refused to fight him.

Again, I am fine with any opinion, so long as the reasoning used is factual. Cox reasoning isn't factual. If he had simply argued Floyd isn't a top 10 ATG at ww because he is 11-0 at ww with wins over Manny, Shane, Baldo , Zab, Maidana(x2), Ghost, Mitchell, Berto, Ortiz, JMM and didn't start his career at ww that would make sense.

It is reasonable that he is ranked behind men who spent the majority of their career or began their career at that weight.

Not doubting Cox but Kagami makes an excellent point.

Floyd gets the same treatment as Vitali Klitschko whom a lot of people said would beat so and so. Ultimately he didn't get the chance and when everything gets added up you have to realize that wouldas, couldas and shouldas doesn't count.

What point is that? What unification did Cox miss? Note that the article is from 2012.

                - -SRRobby started his career at 130.

Today's modern 130 = 140s in the ring, ie TUE 50-0 was a natural welter, but his legacy will bee his nefarious drug accusations where he paid a couple million in a civil settlement on top if ducking Manny to fight BALCO Shane.

I don't make this it up, the it still in his record timeline stinking up his whole fraudulent career at MGM.

Bat, again, my problem isn't Cox ranking him outside the top 10, my problem is the reasoning he gave. His reasoning isn't factual.

Whether you agree or disagree with him, the fact he claims Floyd never unified is a glaringly false statement that seriously brings into question his credibility and knowledge of the sport. His using "Floyd avoided fights with Mosley, Margarito and Pacquiao when they meant something" is also false.

He could've made the exact same argument using facts (like what I posted) and people would still agree with him only his credibility couldn't be questioned. Doing it this way makes him look extremely biased.

Oh, I missed that. Well then this explains why he used the rationale he did.

This. Ffs SSM, who Im a fan of, clearly said he didnt wanna fight Floyd on f#cking HBO.

I mean the fact his list includes a whole discussion on why Floyd isnt in it is weirdo sh^t.

Fair play to not have Floyd in your top ten of all time. But to mention Floyd by name & talk all this weirdo sh^t its beyond obvious this guy has some weirdo agenda or just a bias against Floyd. Mfers let Floyd get too into their feelings & wanna try to diminish or hurt Floyd by any means necessary. Its childish & silly sh^t.
