Aside from those guys he's been ducked his entire career. Right now though, Andrade and Charlo both want the fight. Hope they get one of the big guys or even each other soon.

How is this fight going to help bring in new subscribers to DAZN?
Look at it this way. Golovkin fights either Derev again or either Charlo and Andrade and gets past them. Then the IBF orders that he faces his manditory. How does that work out for a rematch since Canelo is insisting that Golovkin have a belt or he's not interested. The IBF is very strict about enforcing their manditories and Canelo is being very stubborn about not fighting Golovkin again.

Because he was consensus#1 lhw when he signed to fight Nelo by majority of rankings. Do you even understand how boxing works? Resume is the most important thing a boxer possesses.

Yes Kovalev was 2 fights removed from a ko loss(in a fight he was winning but got caught)& he redeemed himself by doing what AJ will be worshipped for eternally if he pulls off. That is winning every rd of rematch against the guy who kod him without taking a tune up. He then did the same thing basically & kod another undefeated prime fighter back to back in Yarde after E.Alvarez.

Kovalev was ranked as the best lhw because Bivol is average, inexperienced,& has less power.(beaten nobody truly elite),Nail vs Beterbieve was already signed & most had the nail as a big favorite by ko even ffs(except me & a few ppl on here who said that was ****** considering the nail is not a naturally gifted power puncher just because old Stevensons brain finally gave out unexpectedly in a fight he was winning). Beterbieve has been dropped badly by a complete C- level & was being written off by many. So yes when Canelo signed Kovalev he was rightfully picked as #1 lhw & no worse than #2 by almost all of the rankings. Right now if Kovalev hadn't yet faced Nelo hed be considered the #2 lhw champ still with Beterbieve having been promoted up.(Beterbieve was also inactive for a while)Go watch Bivol fight & come back & tell me whether he looks like he can beat lhw Nelo.

If Golovkin fights Derev again or either Charlo and Andrade and gets past them then UNIFICATIONS TRUMP MANDATORIES.

The Canelo fight could happen and this Kamil Szereta can wait.

But noooooo....Golovkin decides to jump directly to the easiest cherry he can get like usual. Never mind that DAZN is overpaying him in order to attract new subscribers. He doesn't care about them or about his responsibilities to his broadcast partner.

It's the IBF... they almost always have garbage mandatory challengers but if you ignore them, you get stripped.

The IBF hasn't even ordered the mandatory yet.

But Golovkin was super proactive I guess. He jumped on that cherry with a quickness.

Then they will stop the fight by saying What's His Name isn't acceptable. I don't like this fight either. Personally I think he should forget about Canelo. He's going to get or not get that fight regardless if he has a title. Just rematch Derevyanchenko. Derev earned another shot at him. If he loses then just call it a day.

His past accomplishments are the only reason he was ranked that high. I don't think any of the people who ranked Kovalev so high thought he would last much longer as champion with the competition in that division. That's why Canelo was so thirsty for him. He wanted to take Kovalev's belt while he still had a belt to take.

I mean hell, you go so far as to point out that Nail vs. Beterbiev was already signed but so was the deal for Kovalev vs. Yarde. That didn't stop Canelo from trying to bribe Kovalev into killing the fight. If he wanted anything to do with Nail or Beterbiev he could have done the same at a steep discount. He didn't. Why? Because he knew which champion was ripe for the picking.

Bivol has beaten Issac Chilemba, Jean Pascal, Sullivan Barerra and Joe Smith Jr in his first 16 fights. That's a solid resume. He hasn't had the chance to fight anyone truly elite yet but so far he seems to be willing to fight Beterbiev on espn or even move down to 168 to fight guys. So hopefully we'll see him against elite guys soon.

I like Bivol a lot as a fighter. I would certainly give him more of a chance than Kovalev. I never gave Kovalev more than a punchers shot from the day Canelo first talked about the fight. I haven't liked how Kovalev looked in a fight since that last loss to Ward.

Meanwhile Charlo's fighting junior middleweight Dennis Hogan. Demetrious Andrade is mad because Ryota Murata stole his mandatory fight against Steve Butler which might force him to fight Alantez Fox again. Canelo got the WBC to make him a franchise title holder so he could duck his mandatory against Charlo.

                    But yea....evil GGG.

The nail vs Kovalev was a unification fight that neither guy was going to back out of nor be able to back out(you act like espn would let them). Yes nelo tried buying out dumb yarde because he wasn't worth much with no belt & was just a mandatory whom could step aside. Also Kovalev was the only name lhw champ who would sell & bring dazn subs as well as help nelo win FOTD,duh. If he faced another lhw champ you'd be saying he ducked the other guys,if he picked Beterbieve youd say" it was because he was kd by a bum",gvoz youd say hes scared of Beterbieve & vice versa. Youd also say kovs schooling of yarde scared him.

Therese difference between that & Beterbieve vs gvoz. You are so fvll of crap for acting like Kovalev was a cherrypick for nelo or as if it wasn't him fighting a still top lhw.
