When one is claiming that everyone ducked GGG including a man who fought him twice...there must come a point when you realise the argument has a flaw.

Golovkin was already stripped of his title by the IBF when he did not fight his manditory and opted to fight Vsnes. The circumstances were unusual because Canelo failed his drug test and Golovkin didn't want to fight Derev on short notice. Seeing how dangerous Derev turned out to be it was the best strategic decision. It's simply better to get his manditory out of the way now and have one less headache to deal with if there is a serious attempt at making a third fight. One expensive headache would be paying the manditory a step aside fee.
Yeah, Golovkin was stripped of his title when he wouldn't fight his mandatory Derevyanchenko.

But that was because he chose to fight Vanes instead. Which was NOT a unification hence it didn't trump his mandatory obligations.

Yeah I didn't think I had to explain that because it was obvious and that discussion was all over NSB when it happened. The reality is fight the man now so you don't have to worry about manditories and avoid paying a step aside. Another point does the IBF recognize Canelo as a Champion?? Does anybody really know? The IBF is very strict about their manditories and it's not unrealistic to think they may not accept the WBC franchise belt as sutible for "unification trumps manditories" since Canelo has no manditory fights according to the WBC. Golovkin can avoid all of this by fighting What's His Name now.
