Ali would make them look ******. Give him some of today's sports science and it wouldn't even be a fair contest.

Mind you, all this sports science probably wouldn't produce an Ali.

I'm pretty sure todays coaches would laugh at anyone running in boots bc it would hurt the feet and potential performance.

Ali would also have to listen to common sense and make a better defense ,i bet you didn't know he left Archie Moore bc he wanted Ali to train harder ?

It doesn't actually matter ,Ali was in an eras of smaller guys not prepared to move a lot or jab conitnously and those guys were about 210 on average.

you fight different when you are 225 plus, you have to contain punch counts and know to breath right, its why you see record breaking fight like Kownacki and Arreola but its just one fight...…

The gamw=es changed its not that easy and a lot of talent ,wheather you wish to follow the sport its your loss ,bc ive seen GREAT fighters already from Wilder 9oin his way ) to AJ/Fury and numerous top guys like DDD/Sirenko/ Ajagba /Usyk / Bakole/ Mahkmudov...ETC...….

This is the best era ive seen bc of primes and watched since Cooney fought Holmes. Go do research you will see it was never stacked like this, dont listen to idiots.

I respect the position my dude, you got me wrong.

I get it, people giving you ****, and, mine was vague enough to be taken ****ty.

I often say I Rocky's my dude , but, Deontay and this gen are the first truly global champions. Rocky's really just an international champion because who boxed in the 50s and who boxes now.

USSR, the major, but also Africa is showing up, he have a top ten Japanese, even though he's ****, and a Syrian as the WBA-R champ, even though he too is ****.

I don't want to run long so I'll jump to the point rather then list all my reasons for agreeing. I get it, I'm a history buff myself, but, I understand and respect the perspective.

All sportsmen from yesteryear deserve respect. Today ones are so good also because they learnt from old champs, not only because new generations are always more able and stronger.

It is a very ****** thread.

It's falling on deaf ears OP. Stating simple truths like Leo Santa Cruz would beat the ever living crap out of Willie Pep tend to fall on deaf ears around here because older boxing fans have soft spots for past time greats. Nostalgia runs deep on this website.

This is hilarious! Panty Cruz won't even fight the best feathers of today but magically he'd beat the crap out of arguably the best feathers of all time? GTFOH!

Not a chance in hell. I understand the heavyweight of today with the huge size advantage being better h2h but 147lbs is 147lbs. Robinson easily beats all of those fighters.
