When Canelo was fighting Cintron they said ''the kid could already fight at Middleweight.'' So from 154-160. Is 6lbs to say ''he grew in short period of time'' or simply youngies being able to drain easier than guys in their 30's? Benavidez can make 168 easily because the guy is like 23 years old. Benavidez is HUGE!! Benavidez is like what JCC Jr. was at 160 blowing up 20lbs+.

Alvarez is a short stocky guys. Look at him at 18. Same build, less mass than at 29. Look at Tyson at 13 years of age. Was Tyson on stuff at 13?

Unless you know when the drug entered the body you don't know how much of it entered the body so you can't tell whether it was due to contamination or not.

The way round it is to test continually... weekly should probably do it if you lower the threshold, but I'd imagine the cost and logistics might become an issue. Like I say, the matter with Canelo will probably never be proven now one way or another. The important thing is tht going forward this issue is tackled more effectively and more consistently. Hopefully there will be an effective hair strand test before too long.

The video, man? He literally says nothing. He merely lays out the problem.

But yeah, things have changed. A decision has been made. It's one that doesn't prove guilt or innocence, but does minimise that likelihood of punishing the innocent at the unfortunate cost of leaving an exploitable loophole for fighters in certain countries. Let's hope no tragedies ensue.

Shit, man. I swear. I gotta wonder if folk would be so stuck on this if it was just some random Chinese dude that popped... I'm not even claiming anything controversial, but people just automatically assume that I'm trying to witchunt Canelo in particular, when in fact my interest has now gone way beyond the individual case.

Clenbuterol elimination can be described as a half life (of about 36 hours in humans) so after 3 days you'll have a 1/4 the concentration in urine, after 6 days a 1/16 and so on. There's no way of telling how much was originally taken without knowing when it was taken or ingested.
When was the most recent test he had taken before the one he had failed? I doubt it was weeks apart my man.

If Clenbuterol is found in any level in athletes who come from regions not subject to meat contamination they still get banned,
This is patently false and belies that you are speaking out of your ass. There is virtually always a threshold level for a drug test in order to avoid false positives, and there was one for Clenbuterol before this happened. This is due to the nature of how drug testing is conducted - depending on the drug, they can test for something in the drug itself or they test for your body's response to a drug, and regardless there is inherent measurement error involved. As a result, you can't always be sure that if the test says there was some very tiny amount that any was used at all. Thus the need for a detection threshold that allows for people to state confidently that the drug being tested for was actually taken.

Fighters in other parts of the globe will still be treated with respect to a threshold, as is necessary.

so recent rulings from WADA and the WBC can't be taken as admission that levels of Clenbuterol under the threshold provide no benfit or else why not extend the threshold to the rest of the globe? It's simply a recognition of the impossibility of proving guilt where meat contamination is a possibility and a reflection of a reasonable concern that the innocent should not be punished.
But, to the best of my recollection, the threshold *was* extended for the entire globe. I believe that in addition, they have a new procedure for dealing with borderline cases relative to the new standard if the fighter might have ingested contaminated meat. However, it is worth knowing that neither of Canelo's tests would have triggered this new procedure to happen, they would have been returned as negative.

stopped reading here again..my god dude, you're like many dudes here. HEAR what's being said. He said WADA have been discussing how to alleviate Clen findings from athletes post Contador. and again, Dr. Boer, as I've said numerous times, THRESHOLDS..

You know damn well WADA just changed their policies and now WBC CBP.

Stop acting ****** man. Or else it's not fun to even talk to you. I don't like cowards. It's the reason why I don't reply to Boliodogs.

You're just ignorant on the subject. Besides assisting in breathing, it has weight cutting benefits. See below:

'Although often used by bodybuilders during their "cutting" cycles,[11] the drug has been more recently known to the mainstream for its off-label use as a weight-loss drug similar to usage of other sympathomimetic amines such as ephedrine, despite the lack of sufficient clinical testing either supporting or negating such use.'

'Clenbuterol is a β2 agonist with some structural and pharmacological similarities to epinephrine and salbutamol, but its effects are more potent and longer-lasting as a stimulant and thermogenic drug.[citation needed] It is commonly used for smooth muscle-relaxant properties as a bronchodilator and tocolytic.

It is classified by the World Anti-Doping Association as an anabolic agent, not as a β2 agonist.[4]

Clenbuterol is also prescribed for treatment of respiratory diseases for horses, and not in dogs and cats; it is illegal in most countries to use in livestock used for food.[5]

So, as you can see, Clen has a huge upside to using It in any sport that requires endurance and where weight cutting is necessary.

Quick! send these 1000 random citations off the net so that WADA can change their minds...

Saying all AmeriCAN's are uneducated is like saying all Brits have crooked, green(ish) teeth. Neither are the truth so don't say it.
