The 36 year old guy with only 3 months turn around from last fight and rehydration clause inflicted on him for the first time iin his career eventually got tired... how surprising!

Canelo was horrible in the fight - stunk the MGM out and people were booing ffs Guy needs to learn about effective aggression, just plods forward in the centre line winging left hooks about, most of which miss by some distance. Bivol, and Beterbiev would make light work of him, but he DEFINITELY wouldn't want that smoke lol.

Be interesting to see what his next move is. Can't see him sticking around at 175 and he wouldn't want any of Plant, Benavidez, Charlo or Smith at 168 lbs so the only fight that remains is Billy joe Saunders but again stylisticaly hes all wrong for Canelo, it'd be like Lara all over again lol.

CANELO is The Undisputed #1 P4P Fighter in The World!

Moving up 2 weight classes to fight the most accomplished champion, then knocking him out cold , wow, what a spectacular finish.

His chin has always been suspect. Even a 49 year Bernard Hopkins had him stumbling around in round 12 off a left hook.

Kovalev should retire. He doesn’t believe in his power anymore and is too cautious. Plus he gases in the later rounds and has little punch resistance and durability when he’s tired.

Yep, his body has had so many transformations through the years, very unusual. At points you can definitely tell that his muscles have had some sort of water retention in them which is why he looks so thick. Compare him to Curtis Stevens who has campainged at 175 and moved down the weights and Canelo looks markedly different.

Bottom line is Canelo brings so much money to Las Vegas they surely are just turning a blind eye as its in everyones monetry interest.

Popkins almost KOed the 12th and Just Another Joe Named Smith knocked him outta the ring that had Popkins squalling like a baby for 10 min.

                When U outta BigBoys?

Yea I have issues with the fight. But that knock down was legit.

Then why didn't he fight Bivol or Beterbiev as if neither fighter was available before this fight was announced? Canelo knew Kovalev was worn out which is why he picked him to easily pave his way to a 4th division win. Had Yarde beat Kovalev what would Canelo's next choice of an opponent be? Another Fielding? If Canelo stays at this weight and fights Beterviev or Bivol next then he gets respect but given the unspectacular performance he had last night is highly doubtful he'll ever fight a prime LHW
