        • i seriously doubt kov agreed to get ko'd. he probably thought "oh lets play nice and go 12 rounds. ill lose a debatable decision and retire." canelo is like "yeah...lets do that."

Not talking about the KO here. Just Kovalev’s whole performance in general, from the very opening bell, was absolutely pathetic.

            • Thanks to Jubei for providing us with a video of Kovalev talking post fight about how only ignoramuses could believe Kovalev could win in this thread.

This was indeed staged. Kovalev was claiming how he was ready to win in the pre-fight but Kovalev came to lose. He himself did not believe in his victory and did not try to win. And his performance showed it. When I said staged, I was talking about the fight, not the KO moment. And his whole performance was indeed a joke.

He spit on all his fans by doing what he did. Prior to the fight he was saying how he is in shape, ready to defend HIS division, and now he says how he was completely drained barely able to make weight, without any rest, and in zero condition to fight on a championship level.

Here is Jubei’s thread and video:

If it was staged, why not go down from one of the body shots Canelo landed? Or why not go down from a phantom body shot in the 5th round?

Why allow yourself to be brutally KO'd and sent to the ER 1 round before the final round?

Were you one of the guys that made an excuse for Kovalev's first 2 losses?

3rd times the charms, I guess. Or maybe if you think if you keep repeating this assinine logic, someone will genuinely believe it.

Are you unable to read properly, or are you playing dumb?

I was specifically NOT talking about the KO. I specifically wrote, on many occasions, that it’s not the KO that bothers me. It’s Kovalev’s performance, as a whole, from the very first bell.

And you take what I wrote and flip it 180 degrees.

                  Bravo!

                    1. Stop right there. If we're not talking about the KO, then what are we talking about?

1a. You can't throw a fight in one breath, but not mean to get KO'd in the 2nd breath. Either you're fighting for real or you're not.

1b. How many videos, posts and logic have you casually skimmed over where people have broke it down for you and explained why Kovalev wasn't throwing hard punches? IT'S BECAUSE HE WAS BEING COUNTERED SINCE THE FIRST ROUND. You've been on this site for how many years and still don't understand the significance of a counterpunch and how it makes one react when landed? Translation - It's designed to make the opponent GUN SHY, which is why Kovalev was reluctant to fully commit. Jesus Chris, this site.

                    2. You didn't answer the question. Were you one of the guys who made excuses for Kovalev's first 2 losses? Am I right or Am I right?
