Whyte would not have seen the 3rd round against 21 year old Tyson and he would not have made my list of young Tyson's best wins.

Bruno would have taken Whyte out in a similar fashion.

        He was actually an overachiever.

Short HW at 5'10", you'd think he should've been outboxed by any top HW who was taller than him.

This thread is why we have to do a better job at keeping out the AJ ballsuckers on here.

          Dude's high.

          Are you kidding?

Tyson beat almost all of the elite heavyweights of the '80s

This is the Ring Magazine Ratings from 1986, the year Tyson became champion.

He beat 10 of the 11 guys on the list including the champion.

Like seriously, you won't see that type of resume in the modern day.

He's the last heavyweight who was P4P King for a reason.

Holyfield was not overrated at all.
This is the most accurate way that I've seen Tyson's career described.

Young Mike was a force of nature.

              What a schmuck!

Post the elite boxers that Tyson beat in their primes and stop rambling.

The top 4 HWs of his era:

              - Lennox
              - Bowe
              - Holyfield
              - Mercer

Which of them did Tyson beat?

Dummy, none of those people were his era.

Lennox, Bowe, and Holyfield became great after his prime and he went to jail.

                The '80s were his era.

None of those guys were great heavyweights in the '80s.

He beat 10 of the 11 top rated heavyweights the year he became champion. Or do you not know what elite means?

And Ray Mercer was beaten by Larry Holmes 4 years after Tyson demolished Holmes.

Just stick to the AJ ballsucking, English muffin.

Fat cheese eating yank with dead brain cells, Tyson, Bowe, Lennox and Holyfield are all the same era. They were all also the same era in the amateurs. Lennox has alluded to it several times in interviews. Tyson just turned pro before all of them.

Those are the 4 best in his era, which of them did he beat, dumb yank?

I only dislike how people want to act like Tyson's prime was a 3 year window from the age of 18 to 21.

Has to literally be the shortest prime in any career ever for any sport as an elite athlete. That didnt result in retirement, career ending injury or death.

Take Tyson out and he didn’t beat anyone unless you want to count Bowe loss which is like Lennox’a loss to Rahman.
Actually he was knocked down in the 1st fight and got beat up pretty bad. He had an incredible round when he was hurt and came back hard which made the fight a classic and showed his heart. In the 3rd fight Bowe stopped him. Middleweight great Toney schooled him at heavyweight and stopped him. Moorer beat him and Lewis beat him twice. That's 6 clear losses. Old Holmes gave a prime version Evander all he could handle.
