For all we know, not wearing the seat belt probably saved his life. He could have been smashed inside the car strapped down since it had no roof as it spun and hit the ground

Those cars are made to protect you in a roll over. If you see the pic, he would have been fine.

Also, anyone arguing against using a seat belt is a complete moron. Seat belts save lives and 99% of the time you are MUCH better off with one on.

Spence is lucky, often these ejection crashes end up with the person dead or paralyzed.
