The only thing I'm saying is first whoever landed the sucker punch is guilty of a crime and liable in a civil court for damages.

Whoever employed the sucker puncher is also liable for damages.

If somebody encourage the puncher to make the punch they would be liable as an aider and abettor

But you can't "encourage" another person to punch you. That's not encouragement, that's free speech. Unless I threaten you, you cannot put your hands on me.

So the old dude could have talked all the trash he wanted, but the does not justify getting sucker punched.

At the same time, if I encourage someone to sucker punch you I'm guilty of aiding and abetting the crime.

Why would Shields get sued? She walked away from the altercation and wasn't the one who sucker punched Bashir.

I feel sorry for Clarissa Shields. My heart goes out to her. It's because of the company she chooses to keep is the reason why the fight was canceled and the reason why she wasn't paid for her last fight which was very sad.

She should issue an official apology for the actions of both her entourage in general and her brother in particular for their actions in striking and sucking punching Mr. James Ali Bashir; A 71 year old senior citizen in an unprovoked attack. '

If she doesn't she could risk losing a lot of her advertisements, sponsorships and endorsements over this incident because she has become the face of women's boxing.

All it takes is one incident to undo several years of hard work, sacrifice and dedication to this sport. She could risk losing it all because of the company she chooses to keep.

In the future, she needs to be wiser and take charge of the people she chooses to accompany herself with. If they are going to behave themselves unruly and undisciplined then she needs to remove them from her inner circle.

Look at the video out there...Habazin was trying to fight everyone on the team...including the women, and was begging someone to touch him....well, he got touch. So keep that same energy as before... I was feeling bad for him until I seen the video of him during the weigh-in and after when he was talking mad shiat to Shield's sister, calling her all kind of *****es and what he'll do to her. You got what you was asking for plain and simple.

You mean, Bashir,...but what you don't see on video is that Bashir came peacefully to look weigh of Claressa, when her sister verbally attacked him first, jelling at him to go away and waving with hands close to his face. Funny that video starts only after that, when Bashir decides not to allow that kind of approach, and returns to Claressa sister with same way and intensity. There is a rumor that Shields was faking injury before few months because she wasn't in weigh, and she wasn't in weigh neither this time....but, as in home ground, she was hopping that they will fix it, one way or another. And, Ivana Habazin and her coach Bashir had very disgraceful treatment in US, and even before entering US, which was made by organizers, and than Claressa bring her sister and brother there to show some muscles. That is to much, if Claressa is better than Habazin, she shouldn't use low punches like that.
