I was hoping for a more sincere apology, this felt like it was a generic cooked up press statement...

Shields has to realize her career just took a major hit. Her career isn't over but it did take a hard liver blow. Now no one's going to Flint to fight her because they can say "look what happened to Bashir". No one is going to go on stage with her while her entourage is there because of the same reason. Lots of fans are outraged over this. Shields has just lost a lot of her A-side status as well as public perception.

Funny how people only ask for proof when they know it can no longer be found.
I'd counter with; where's the proof that Breazeale is the one that started the public violence?

I think she deleted it after all the arguments she got into with fellow boxers over it, but i found this screenshot of it.

So which is it? You're all over the place with your argument.
I meant a person cannot instigate the sucker punch against him or herself. But you can instigate other person to attack another person.

But, Mr. Bashir went after the sister after they were separated and moved in different directions to different areas of the room. He continued to talk violence and add poison to a bad atmosphere, that he helped create. He's not an innocent bystander.

No one deserves violence or injury for talking smack about a fight. Professionals are supposed to help diffuse those situations, rather than fuel the fire. Unfortunately he continued fueling a fire. The perp who hit him is wrong no doubt, and will probably be caught and dealt with, no matter who he is related to. That person and Mr. Bashir are responsible for the situation, and the fallout.
From what I know that was a pre-weigh in before the real weigh in which is in 20 mins!

The lady and others who were with Shields when she weighed herself told James Ali Bashir to leave or get off the stage!

Obviously he took offense to that deeming he’s the opponents coach and there is no jurisdiction about an opposing coach can’t be on the stage for a pre-weigh in(then again I saw an elderly man in a walker going across stage as crazy as that sounds) it seems anyone could be up there so I didn’t understand why they told Mr. Ali to get off the stage on the first place since he wasn’t putting his hands on anyone and was likely trying to get in Shields head(gamesmanship is common in boxing)!

This led to the back an forth between Mr. Ali with the women in which things escalated and he started “flashing his hands in the woman’s face 2x! Both teams escorted both away to deescalate the situation!

Mr. Ali then leaves the stage and sits down in the audience seating area and further spouts vulgar language and verbally threatens the woman who he was arguing on stage in which the woman and Shields plus others are already in the backstage area!

Mr. Ali talks to FightHype who recorded the whole thing and states his displeasure of how the woman he was arguing with wanted to be a man and that he’ll treat her like a man and went on to say more vulgar and racial epithets language about the woman!

Next thing you know Mr. Ali is on the floor unconscious and laying in the pool of his own blood!

Sources have said the culprit who did it is Ms. Shields brother Artis Mack who is a convicted felon and on parole for a past assault!

Showtime has confirmed this with WBN(World Boxing News)

Mr. Ali needed emergency facial reconstruction surgery and was initially release until the doctor noticed on his brain scans that he has brain bleed and needed to be rushed to the emergency immediately in which he’s currently in critical condition fighting for his life!

Ms. Shields brother has a warrant on him currently and will be hold further until what happens to Mr. Ali plays out!

Clarrisa Shields should stay off social media and pray that James Bashir Ali makes it through or her reputation of professionalism is destroyed!

That idiot woman was blocking Bashir's view when Shields went on the scale. She pushed Bashir and it escalated from there. Bashir is from another generation. You don't shove and talk **** like that to a man from his generation and expect it will go unnoticed.

Shields' a trash of a human being for standing behind her brothers actions.

It really doesn't matter at this point, they settled it in the ring.
