You got what you was asking for plain and simple.
It’s the difference between a child and a person with emotional awareness. A child strikes out and throws punches over words. An adult with emotional awareness lets the charade play out but is always ready to defend him/herself when punches are thrown.

A child serves time and has a record and whose employment opportunities are squandered because they can’t handle their emotions. An adult defends him/herself, wins assault lawsuits, stays out of jail and has a good career as a non-convict.

Point Taken, but it's very hard to feel sorry for the guy after his behavior....if your point of emotional awareness is calling a female a bitcch and telling her you will slap her like he did , you deserve what you get IMO

Hey you and I are on the same page in that one. I don’t condone the threatening of a woman and I’d have harsh words for anyone that made a threat on a woman. However I’m smart enough to know that most people always want the first punch thrown so you yourself is the one locked up. I’ll never fall into that trap.

Don’t think her reputation is tarnished but it is hurting and will be damaged once it fully gets out that it was her brother who did it when she posted a video saying she didn’t know anyone on her team who would do that!

Shields needs to cut him off!
Claressa didn't see what happened, and the video only shows the aftermath. Maybe the men squared off? Hard to say. In any case, it's not Claressa's fault. Even if it is her brother (though I would probably keep him away from future promotions). Trying to cast shame or blame on her is wrong and mean-spirited. She wasn't really in the cuss-fest between the trainer and her sister or whatever happened after.

I feel for the trainer, but those saying he was wrong cussing and threatening her whole team are correct. That was no way for him to be behaving at the weigh-in. If he felt threatened the promoter should have security de-escalate the situation. He WAS a bit out of control.

Unfortunately, when adults get out of control like that, bad things find a way to happen. You have to step up and defend/protect your fighter and team ... but there are bounds you shouldn't cross. They could have escorted their fighter out and demanded the riff-raff noise-makers be contained, before coming back and weighing in. The trainer helped escalate the situation.

That doesn't make what happened right at all. But it was not Claressa Shield's fault, and shouldn't tarnish her (many people have crazy relatives). The trainer could have sat down and chilled. He escalated everything.

Reminds me of Wilder's idiot brother sucker punching Breazeale from behind. I Give Deontay a lot of stick for basically being a tw@t, but at least he's professional enough to keep it inside the ropes.
Wilder said Breazeale did the sucker-punching, then got dropped when he squared off with Wilder's lil brother. He said - she said. Don't buy the noise unless you know for sure.

But I understand when you don't like someone and are always angling to cast dirt on them. It's a pitiful look, but good job.

You don't put hands on a civilian. Pushing and shoving between fighters, sure. That's part of the game but not violence. Trainers, cutmen, waterboys etc. - off limits.

Flint took an L and I hope Shields gets sued and the coward gets punished severely.
I'm not defending the violence, but Claressa didn't hit the guy. Her (civilian) brother alledgedly did. That would be trainer civilian vs brother civilian.

Shields also said Habazin was using her trainer being assaulted as an excuse not to fight.

Basically, Shields is a total piece of $h!t. Her team of managers and promoters are trying to hide that from everyone by burying that story with press releases and statements that are clearly not her words and written by someone else.

I pray someone knocks this piece of trash out so I never have to hear about her again.

Shields (like the video camera) didn't appear to actually see what went down. She probably didn't think it was a member of her team. It's not clear someone confessed. She may still not know what happened ... you don't have proof she "knows" anything, just conjecture.

Anyway, if you don't like her it's convenient to blame her and cast shade. The trainer was way out of bounds. Like a car in the wrong lane on a highway, sometimes that causes bad things to happen. He and the "puncher" ruined the day. Because it was in Flint she gets the blame, but it's really not her fault. The highway can be anywhere .... if you do 70 mph in the wrong lane ... look out!

                    Totally agree.

A woman should be allowed to curse, threaten with a fist and assault verbally anyone anywhere as she pleases.

All women should have this right.

Because they're women living in a civilized society.

Who's Bashir to attempt to take away women's rightful
                    assault rights ?
