To me he doesn't particularly, he just looks like an average sized MW and was probably on the smallish size when he came to the US. You're saying the HBO unofficial figures may have been cooked and for all I know you're right, but instead of any more credible numbers you offer... pure speculation. Til I got something more substantial I think I'll just hold on to my opinion man, but thanks for your efforts to enlighten me..

TBH not even sure why it's an issue... I'd like to see him fight a decent SMW whether he's still healthy at 160 or no, I just don't see any particular reason for him to move up just for the sake of it.

Just as an aside weight cutting is probably best taken as a percentage of total body mass (ie bigger guys should be able to cut more) but the 12 -15Lbs you mention seems to be a fairly good estimate for a MW/JMW though there's been numerous reports (again unofficially) of JMWs coming to the ring in the low 170s. It's generally understood that younger guys are able to healthily cut more and anecdotally 30 is about the age at which weight cutting becomes much more difficult... which is kinda bourne out by the number of guys who go up in weight at that age.
This is why Pac fighting at 147 in his younger days makes it all the more amazing because technically he should of stayed at 135 until his early 30's. He didn't.

GGG Also wanted big money and I think at least in 2013-2014 he wanted Mayweather at 54. He would of made that cut if PBF would of agreed to fight him at 154 (which i KNOW he would never take because GGG can cut off the ring and that would be brutal against Floyd).

At this point now thou with Canelo avoiding the 3rd fight GGG needs to go to 168. History will prove he is the better fighter IF he can make his mark at 68.

I think BJS should've been fighting at 154 for years before moving up to 160 when he couldn't make it anymore.

For a long time he's been a flabby 160 and still trouncing top level middleweights – imagine if he had a nutritionist back then? He'd be knocking out jr middles left right and centre. I remember a UK boxing trainer saying something similar a year or two ago.

That isn't accurate because Brook definitely doesn't have a 72 in reach. Golovkin has a 70 in reach as far as boxrec is concerned. Try to find someone with an actual 74 in reach and you'll see that Golovkin doesn't have that much.

Some dare to be great and others well,,,, rather beg and and try to trick the public that their mediocreness is actually greatness.

Misconstruing I think. The contracted limit for the Rolls fight at the official weigh in was 164, I'd have to guess GGG came to the ring at somewhere close to his usual fighting weight (if my man Widdit won't object to my using the HBO unofficial weights) of somewhere in the range 170 - 173.

iirc that T.O.T was conducted by Sky Sports and is the most accurate information we have. Boxrec isn't official, golovkin depends 100% on his jab to win fights and that's because he's got a massive 74" reach. golovkin also has kyphosis, he's actually much taller than he is because his posture.

Look at the muscle definition, destruction, when he's draining. You guys really want to believe HBO's unofficial scale?

A proper GGG at 168-175 looks RIPPED and healthy to fight!

By Barry Holbook: Gennady ‘GGG’ Golovkin needed two attempts to make the 170-pound limit for the IBF second day weigh-in this morning for his fight tonight on DAZN against Sergiy ‘The Technician’ Derevyanchenko. Golovkin (39-1-1, 35 KOs) weighed in at 170.2 lbs on his first weigh-in try, and he then stripped down and made the weight at 170 lbs. For his part, Derevyanchenko successfully made weight.

the same second day weigh-in canelo had no issue making vs jacobs...

He barely made the 10lb limit today
You didn't even know Kyphosis was a condition untill someone else mentioned it on the thread. LOL.. Golovkin doesn't have a 74 inch reach. His reach is reported as 70 inches on box rec. Even Jacobs who clearly has a longer reach than Golovkin doesn't have a 74 inch reach. Danny was plainly bigger than Golovkin in the ring.
