I think BJS should've been fighting at 154 for years before moving up to 160 when he couldn't make it anymore.

Yeah. Can't see much sense in the 164 for that, myself. Could have just done it at the full 168... Golovkin comes to ring 170+ anyway... less Rolls camp were saying he'd struggle to make MW, in which case why not just pick a C list MW?

But yeah, no doubt GGGs closing on retirement, kinda shame he passed on a coupla decent fights pursuing the Canelo payday, though it's hard to blame the dude. Only positive sign is that he's got a financial stake in the success of DAZN now (half his pay for this fight is in equity and he may already be a stakeholder) so he's got a pretty good motive to take better fights from here in. Here's hoping.

You didn't even know Kyphosis was a condition untill someone else mentioned it on the thread. LOL.. Golovkin doesn't have a 74 inch reach. His reach is reported as 70 inches on box rec. Even Jacobs who clearly has a longer reach than Golovkin doesn't have a 74 inch reach. Danny was plainly bigger than Golovkin in the ring.

Despite what you think of BJS, I think he could’ve stayed at 154 for most of, if not all his career if was disciplined - for sure he’s not a natural 168 fighter
