Any competitive fight and a fighter can't be top 5 P4P? I mean if you don't think he is top 5 P4P, that is perfectly fine. But what is your logic here? Any close competitive fight and that fighter is automatically disqualified from being in the top 5 P4P list?
It was his first real big test imo, calling him top 5 is nonsense.

Porter didn't have an asterisk next to his name and was in his prime. Spence didn't look like anything special and his resume isn't top 5 p4p either. He won by SD, don't forget

Okay, so you're saying he's not top 5 because of his resume'. That's fine, but to say he didn't separate himself is a curious statement. The examples I used of P4P fighters were in just as tight fights.

SD okay? Before stopping Linares, the cards were split as well. GGG flat out lost on all the cards vs Canelo in the rematch and lost 10 rounds on one judges scorecard in the first fight.

No one was calling Thurman a top 5 P4P after he beat Porter and Garcia. Yeah he had some injuries that sidelined him for a bit, but I see a lot more being made out of Spence's win over Porter, than Thurman's win over Porter, and Thurman actually beat him more decisively.

That said, I would put Spence in the top 5 P4P right now. Porter is a good scalp for any fighter's resume at 147.

I wouldn't rank him top 5. In no particular order I'd rank; Loma, Crawford, Usyk, Canelo, GGG, Inoue and Estrada higher than him.

            1. Canelo
            2. Crawford
            3. Loma
            4. Pac
            5. Usyk / Spence

That doesn't matter, Loma dominated him. A draw and a MD loss to Canelo who is the cash cow in boxing and has the best resume is not bad at all. I think GGG won both fights. Porter isn't a p4p talent and I saw him outboxing Spence on the outside

Again, there are reasons you can have to not put Spence top 5.

But dominate in what regard? The scorecards and the fight against Linares was up in the air after 9 rounds. There was no dominating going on. Linares dropped Lomachenko and was down by one on one card and up by one on another cared.

A draw and MD loss to Canelo is indeed not bad at all. You are right there. However, GGG also was in a tight competitive fight with Jacobs, not all that dissimilar from Spence/Porter. Curious, how did you score the Spence/Porter fight anyways?

                  I have him #8. He’s top 10 not top 5 yet though.

I think Loma, Crawford, Usyk, Inoue and Canelo are the top 5.

I also have GGG and Estrada ranked above him in my personal list.

I really don’t understand this silly narrative that Spence’s stock has declined because he had a tough fight with Porter.

Everyone has a tough night with Shawn Porter...

I personally don’t have Spence top 5, (have him top 10) but his performance against Porter hasn’t made me think he’s any less of a fighter. That was a very good win on Saturday.
