Honestly, it's really freaking difficult to rank fighters across all weight classes (P4P) when the best fighters don't even face the best in their own weight class!

(Who's the best welterweight today? Who knows? That's because Crawford and Spence won't fight each other.)

I don't see any reason NOT to rank Spence top 5 P4P. But I could say the same for more than five fighters. Gotta see them like, actually go against each other.

I personally don’t have Spence top 5, (have him top 10) but his performance against Porter hasn’t made me think he’s any less of a fighter. That was a very good win on Saturday.
That's the thing, there are arguments to be made against having him top 5 P4P. But to say because he didn't separate himself aka dominate Porter is silly. When you fight top opponents, you will have some competitive fights...As you should. He could go out and completely dominate DSG next fight, but Porter had the style and game plan to make it a fight.

And I still had Spence winning 8-4 with a KD. He took over late in the fight and finished strong. If that lowers the opinion on him, than good luck making a list of top 5 P4P fighters without any of them having a competitive fight.

I had it 7-5 plus the KD so 115-112.

Great fight, and a great performances by both IMO.

There seems to be a lot of anti-Spence sentiment flying around. People are being very over-critical.

Well, that is ANY fighter with a good amount of hype. If they don't completely dominate, then they are exposed.

It's hilarious, every top fighter on the P4P lists minus Crawford/Inoue have been in these types of dog fights/competitive fights. And as they should.

Any competitive fight and a fighter can't be top 5 P4P? I mean if you don't think he is top 5 P4P, that is perfectly fine. But what is your logic here? Any close competitive fight and that fighter is automatically disqualified from being in the top 5 P4P list?

He's definitely not top 5, but he's probably top 10. If you don't include him in your top 10, I don't take issue with that.

Based on the original meaning of P4P: who is the best, if all men were of equal weight (based mostly on eye-test and record)

                Lomachenko
                Usyk
                Fury
                Golovkin
                Canelo
                Inoue
                Wilder
                Crawford
                Pacquiao
                Spence

I had him top 3 for a while...after Mikey moved him down to around 5...after this he is still top 10 imo but not really in the top group...there is a lot to sort out at a lot of these divisions though...154/147/175/168 all have some work to do to sort out the top guy...160 too really.
