I know it's not a popular opinion but at some point you have to look at facts. Pac has beaten several legends and HOF'rs and Duran only really beat one.
Not to mention, Pacman had had over a dozen more title fights and ten more title fight wins in several more weights. It's a no brainer to me. Duran is over rated and over hyped badly based on beating SRL close.
It's not a popular opinion because it's simply not true. Too bad you didn't start this thread so you could put everyone who disagrees with you on ignore

The title dont mean sht its about who had it and what were the conditions and form of the fighters going into the bout , titles on their own dont mean much you have to know the full backstory to see its true worth.

Duran would be too much for Manny because Manny would fight him and thats not going to work against a LW machine , to beat Duram you have got to outbox him with skills or have a hammer ala Hearns, you wont out fight him.
If there is anybody that could outfight Duran it would be Pacquiao. Faster, more explosive, more angles, bigger gastank and getting hit back would only charge the crazy Filipino up instead of discourage him. And he has more heart in that kind of fight. Who quit in a fight in their prime, Duran or Pacquiao?

Pacquiao fought many greats, very few ever beat him but nobody ever outfought him. A man, no matter how great he was, who quit in a fight will never beat Pacquiao in that type of fight.

Didn't Pac evolve and Killed Morales twice? The beauty of Pac during that time he was still fine tuning and evolving his craft. He did Kill Morales eventually. Did you forget?

JMM? Pac Floored JMM 3 times in their first match and should have won that if it weren't for that Judge who only gave a 10-8 round when it should have been a 10-7. Anyway, that's another definition of killing him. JMM got dropped 3 times in the first round lol If Pac was as big as SRL. SRL goes down for sure.

The difference between Pac and Duran.

Duran is slow, and doesn't use angles the way Pac does. Duran is a beast but his speed is 3rd gear, while Pac's is at 6th gear.

That alone is the Trump card. Pac's speed will be too much for Duran. Pac will spin him like a top and Duran will call Nomas after being frustrated in the ring.

Pac has too much speed for Duran to handle. Only chance Duran beats him is with a solid punch, but that said both men have the hands of stone. Both are heavy handed.

Pac in the light weights are dropping his opponents like flies. Both men are heavy handed, but both men are not the same in terms of speed. Pac is Duran 2.0. Faster, more agile than Duran.

To those who don't get it.

                  Speed KILLS.

Duran said NOMAS to SRL because he was too slow to catch him. That's Duran achilles he's slow. He's feet is slow. He can't win against fighters with great footwork. Pac has that in spades.

Imagine if Pacquiao quit in the middle of a fight against one of his greatest rivals. Like your supposed boxing GOAT did.

Imagine how frustrated Duran would get by Pac's relentless speed and non stop combinations from all angles. The truth is Duran was a bully who would cry No Mas if somebody truly frustrated him. Someone like Pac.
