Which boxers lift heavy weights?

    Yeah but lifting heavy for a long consistent amount of time also makes a person very hungry, and eventually grows mass.

    I’ll probably just chop my weight down via cardio/diet and lay off weights for bit. Then once I’ve reached my desired starting point I’ll know much better how I want to carve my body this time around.

    When I first started I was like everybody else, just lift heavy and grow mass mass mass.
    Now want to compelety change it. I’d rather go for more of a Mayweather physique, quite simple.

      The powerlifting style doesn't tend to build too much bulk in my experience.

      All exercise stimulates appetite because it burns calories which your body will need to replace. And you don't need to do a lot of lifting if you're lifting heavy,

          Yeah I’ve seen that. The point is I’m also trying to cut down muscle mass as well. I’m sitting at 180 when I started lifting few years ago I was about 140 so I put on quite some mass upper body wise, makes me pretty slow and bad for my cardio. Need to cut down ASAP.

            I never enrolled with them. Just read the advice at their site then went to the YT channel and started doing the workouts they posted and drinking 2 whey protein shakes on workout days.

            I had to stop doing it about 3 years ago when I slipped on some wet steps while jogging and tore my left quad muscle. I got lazy again while waiting for it to heal, and still haven't got back in the gym.

              If most of your extra bulk is muscle you should be able to lose weight quite quickly by reducing your calorie intake. People with a lot of muscle burn calories fast, that's why weight training is now being recommended as a good way to lose weight.

              The stronglifts program I linked to got rid of my spare tyre and beer belly in about 6 months and some of the extra weight I was carrying went on to my thighs, gluts and upper torso as muscle, but I actually lost weight while doing it.
