Fighters respect Haymon because he doesn't just write a check after fights. He creates a financial business plan for his fighters to invest so their families can survive after boxing. He is the epitome of a manager and mentor. Thats why fighters respect Haymon. Ask Paul Williams whose been paralyzed for years. Haymon mentored and continued to manage him on how to survive financially beyond boxing. Haymon is not the typical snake the media trys to paint him as period.

Chicanos love Al Hayman. Just watch what I tell you. Don't be surprised if Canelo ends up signing with the PBC also

I agree 100%. I was at the very entertaining STAR boxing card in Monticello N.Y recently. Good action means good matchmaking. Fools that hate on promoters are just that.....fools!Comment

You're just another weak minded racist like Tucker Carlson. A cult member that should be selling flowers at the airport in an orange toga.
This is probably the best thing I’ve ever seen posted on this forum. You nailed the reasons why he is hated....and what I think is funny is that the people who fall into this won’t ever admit it even though it’s easy to see. We live in an era of in your face white nationalism....in the USA and UK especially and even in Canada and Australia....blacks having successful businesses, media, entertainment, being more outspoken in sports, singing the praises of HBCU’s etc really threatens those who see black economic independence as an erosion of white privilege.
Al Haymon embodies that....he scares them. And it’s a shame to see Mexican Americans getting on board with that considering how white nationalism/the alt right demonises that group in the USAComment

Over the years, I have heard terrible stories from managers and promoters that even many were champions and once they become promoters do not treat their fighters in the best way. But I never thought there would be a man like Haymon in boxing. It is a blessing for the sport....
