Comments Thread For: Angulo: Al Haymon Has Given Me Far More Than I've Given Back

Alfredo Angulo isn't just falling in line with every other Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) athlete when he thanks Al Haymon before and after a fight; the proud Mexican warrior genuinely means it.

Would that not be amazing to see? If Angulo actually did win a meaningful SMW title at this point in his life, it would be the stuff of sappy sports movies.

Not really expecting it but it would be amazing.

I you don’t like the dog you dont have a heart. What this chap has been through in his career and his legal issues it was great to see him win last night even though I thought he wouldn’t. Good to see him doing well. And well done to the PBC team and al haymon for giving gents like Angulo a chance to prosper late in their careers. I can truly see why all PBC fighters thank haymon. I don’t see any other promotional outfit thanking their backers like this

Yea man that’s very true. Al must be an alright guy. Don’t really see many people breaking away from him, but it does happen every once in a while. Still, he has probably fewer break ups w fighters than any other promotional company while at the same time having a ton more fighters.

Al Haymon is great for boxing but only the usual suspects thinks otherwise!

How many times has he proven that boxing needs him!?

Your favorite promoters or networks don’t do what he does!

Since when has praise for your manager been news worthy? If they picked them, you like them, that's not news.

I understand that CBS owns showtime, boxingscene and for now control the PBC but is announcing self serving praise really news worthy material? It has got to make you wonder what's real and what's fake when they have a dog in the fight...amiright?
