Wait ... so Canelo already beat Dervyenchenko by triangle theory UD!

So how come he isn't the IBF champion any more?

Study up buddy, the fight was offered from team canelo to Team Derevyanchenko for 5.5 mil... team Derevyanchenko wanted more money so they didn’t come to terms causing the ibf to strip canelo, now Derevyanchenko is fighting ggg for the same amount 5.5 mil... basically, Derevyanchenko cherry picked ggg

Derevyanchenko was Canelo's IBF mando and entitled to expect a lot more than $5.5million.

What part of that don't you understand?

so you could answer the rest of the questions and just want to focus on that 1? Fine. At mw- Charlo and andrade, at smw - plant, callum smith, benavidez, and LHW - bivol, gvozdyk, and beterbiev. I'm not even counting ggg who would be a bigger risk nor Saunders who based on his style could be a risk as well. Either way, I think everyone else is a bigger risk to Canelo than this current version of Kovalev at 36, who is run down and was nearly stopped by a novice weeks ago and now has to fight again in 6 weeks.

I know you adore Canelo but if you're going to comment on my post, at least counter what ive said instead of just crying about how I don't love Canelo the way you do. Is there a huge difference in the resumes of ggg and Canelo over the past 5 yrs? Do you think canelo would've faced Kovalev if he was still the same guy that faced ward in the first fight? At this point in time, do you really think Kovalev is the biggest risk available for Canelo from 160-175? In my opinion, there are 7-8 bigger risks than Kovalev. Especially a 36 yr old version who has been stopped twice recently and was damn near stopped weeks ago. Now has to fight on a short turnaround. Answer those questions and stop weeping.
To answer your question if I may, I know you were talking to shadow... but at 175 Kovalev def isn’t the biggest threat to canelo. I do feel he is a bigger name then anyone else from 60-75... Kovalev had the better resume and accomplishments then anyone from 60-75 and that’s not debatable that’s a fact... so even though Kovalev isn’t the biggest risk, he does the most for canelos own resume and career. A name like Kovalev on your resume stands out, but that’s only if he wins which can backfire. Kovalev is a bigger challenge, canelo already had a win against ggg... it’s obvious that taking in Kovalev was a better choice at this time for canelos and his career

Lol. Let’s like you’ll be benched the upcoming season while Fury’s eye heals in 2 years and BJS fights Monroe Jr. in a rematch.

Or hopefully we get your love of Chocolate Brownie Brook vs GGG 2 rematch.

I bet you shop from the thrift store and buy dirty undies consider the boxers you envy.

                  Keep the bench warm bruh!

I won't disagree on name value and body of work throughout his career when comparing Kovalev to the other names from 160-175. But if we're assessing risk, which is what canelo critsized ggg for, he himself definitely went with the reward over risk route in picking Kovalev.

Well yeah true, but we can do that all day but for what? Didn’t ggg say anyone from 54-68, he no businessman, legacy only... I mean we can do that all day... canelo at this point has a resume that many can’t measure up to. He has earned his status and earned being able to pick and choose and he picked to go up 15 pounds to fight a champion. It’s my opinion that he’s earned that right and I stand by that. Ggg, well he can pick whoever he wants not named canelo too, he didn’t pick the best either. If ggg wants to put pressure on canelos into making the fight, it’s simple, fight and beat other champions
